Can we teach Artificial Intelligence to make moral judgements? - Innovation Origins

#artificialintelligence

A question that preoccupies me as a moral philosopher is to what extent artificial intelligence (AI) is capable of making moral judgments. To address that question, of course, we first need to know how humans arrive at moral judgments. Unfortunately, no consensus on that exists. Moral psychologist Jonathan Haidt argues that our moral reasoning is guided in the first place by our intuition. 'Reason is a slave of the passions,' as philosopher David Hume stated in the 18th century.

The Best Reason to Get a PS5 Is Its New Controller

WIRED

The last console generation was all about black plastic rectangles. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 looked like sleek, futuristic VCRs. It was not an exciting or inspired vibe. This console generation, Sony and Microsoft are leaning into their respective aesthetics. Microsoft's Xbox Series X is bigger and squarer than ever before. The PlayStation 5 is more radical.

Forget 4K and Solid State Drives. The Controller Is the Best Reason to Get a PlayStation 5

TIME - Tech

As a new generation of video game consoles arrives, many have wondered whether the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will actually feel "next gen"--that is to say, markedly better. New console generations used to mark major leaps in performance, fidelity and ways of playing (think of the graphical leap from the NES to the Super Nintendo, or the jump to 3-D games with the original PlayStation). But more recently, there's been less distance between one generation of consoles and the next. And today, high-powered gaming PCs already surpass the PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X in the specs department, delivering higher frame rates and better visuals. All this was on my mind when I first fired up the PlayStation 5.

Confused about which console to buy? Just wait.

After months of speculation, we now have a clear picture of how the next generation of consoles is shaping up. Four consoles at three price points, each offering a slightly different take on the future of gaming. At just $300, the Xbox Series S is clearly the value proposition. You won't get true 4K gaming, and its 512GB of storage could prove an issue, but that's the price you pay for.. paying less. At $400, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition offers everything the regular PlayStation 5 does, except the disc drive.
