Artificial intelligence and face analysis software is being used in job interviews in the Uk for the first time – as businesses turn to technology for the best candidates. The software program, created by US company HireVue, analyses language, tone and also records the face expressions of applicants as they reply to questions on video, the Telegraph noted. HireVue claims to boost a firm's quality of hire by 88%, range by 55% diversity, and fill up roles in a company 90% faster. The software works on certain algorithms to compare an applicant's 15 minutes video against 25,000 pieces of data gathered from previous'successful' hires. But academics have warned that face analysis or perhaps AI software might have' biases' that would rule out skilled candidates who'd have been'great at the job'.
