According to reports, the company is about to unveil a new'affordable' iPhone โ€“ an alternative to the iPhone 16 which starts at 799/ 799. Will YOUR iPhone support Apple's upcoming iOS 17?

Daily Mail - Science & tech

If your iPhone or iPad is over five years old, you'll miss out on the wave of new features and applications coming this fall with Apple's upgrade to iOS 17. The iPhone X, the first to feature FaceID, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will not support the new operating system. That means the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR will be the oldest devices capable of running the new operating system when available later this year. The end of having to say'Hey' to summon Siri, a new Journal app for tracking your life goals, improvements to autocorrect, and a'Check In' feature to let friends and loved ones know you've arrived home safely are among iOS 17's new features. But only the most advanced iPhones, from 2021's iPhone 12 and newer, will be able to control their device with hand gestures during a FaceTime call, unlocking fun augmented reality (AR) reaction graphics.

Five Real-Life Examples of Artificial Intelligence - foxinfotech.in

#artificialintelligence

Artificial Intelligence is all around us. Most of our daily live tasks are based on AI. This digital world has made us imperative to utilize AI in our day-to-day tasks. Knowingly or unknowingly, we have come across so many applications of AI. But why?! Why has AI emerged in our lives?

The Use of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Apple Devices

#artificialintelligence

From the iPhone to the Mac, iPad, iPod and the Apple Watch, Apple excels, and continues to do so, in hardware innovation and software development. However, not much is known about Apple's plan with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it's used in Apple products, or apps in general. In its recent WWDC performance, Apple seems to have taken a quieter, yet smarter approach by adding several features and updates with machine learning at their core. The idea behind incorporating machine learning and AI into Apple products is to build amazing experiences for its consumers so they can do what they never imagined they could. Apple engineers and researchers are collaborating to integrate software and hardware across its devices and improve user experiences while protecting their data.

Apple's HomePod Mini Falls Short As a Smart Speaker

WIRED

I was ridiculously excited to review the HomePod mini, Apple's latest small smart speaker. Just like how it's hard to review a kid product honestly without having a kid or two to test it on, it's also hard to review an Apple product if you're not already a ride-or-die Apple fan. As senior editor Michael Calore noted in his review of the first HomePod, Apple products are just not meant for everyone. They're meant for us, the dedicated members of the Apple clan who are writing reviews on our MacBooks Pro and checking Slack on our iPhones, recording step counts on our Apple Watches while listening to Apple Music on AirPods, before turning on Paw Patrol on the Apple TV. I'm an Apple fan, and I've also been in a long and dispiriting battle with the Sonos app that controls my ancient Sonos speakers.

For iPhone users who don't want to venture far to control their smart homes, look no further than Apple HomeKit. Like Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant, you can use HomeKit to control and command your favorite HomeKit-compatible smart devices. Apple HomeKit isn't compatible with quite as many devices as the aforementioned digital assistants, but unlike smart home systems such as Samsung SmartThings, it doesn't require a specific hub to configure. All you need to get started is to scope out the compatible hardware--door locks, smart bulbs, and so on--and once these gadgets are synced up, you can walk through the door and ask Siri to turn on the lights! The Apple Home app lets you control connected devices.

As a junior data scientist, most of the times training data are ready for me to train the model (either by accessing database/external csv file provided). However, dataset is not always available for us, we need scraping skill to make our life easier. My friend and I decided to start this mini-project which contains the whole process from scraping, to exploratory and finally perform some simple prediction using various machine learning models within 1 day as a small challenge for our own. Amazon to directly sell Apple products on platform globally for first time

Daily Mail - Science & tech

Amazon will soon sell Apple products internationally for the first time on its platform, meaning customers could get products faster. Macbooks, iPads and iPhones will become available from the online retailer in the UK as well as other countries in Europe, the US and Japan by Christmas. Coupled with Amazon Prime membership, customers of the site could soon enjoy next day delivery on these products. Amazon already sells Apple devices using third party merchants but pricing, return policies and customer service vary from vendor to vendor. Existing listings will be removed from Amazon and firms affected will need to apply to Apple to become authorised sellers if they want to continue stocking its hardware.

Amazon connects digital assistant Alexa to microwave, clock and car

Amazon Basics' $59.99 microwave connects to Echo speakers to bring in Alexa personal assistant (Photo: Jefferson Graham) That's a key takeaway from Alexa-driven products Amazon launched on Thursday, from an anticipated AmazonBasics Microwave to a small cassette-sized gadget, Echo Auto, that will let Alexa hang out with you in the car. Amazon's designs on smart home domination and beyond is nothing new, and is no different from Apple, Google, or Samsung. Each company wants to lure you into its own ecosystem--and keep you there. Jeff Bezos' crew appears to have momentum on its side. Amazon now claims more than 20,000 Alexa-compatible devices from more than 3,500 brands, up from some 4,000 devices and 1,200 brands in January. The company's latest product avalanche comes with refreshes to the Echo family of smart speakers, such as the $34 Echo Input.
