Levi's New Jean Jacket Lets You Wear Google Assistant - Voicebot.ai

#artificialintelligence

Levi's launched a new denim smart jacket with Google's Project Jacquard technology. The Trucker Jacket allows users to interact with an Android device with a gesture or touch to their sleeve. Jacquard is a Google project built to experiment with fiber electronics. The Trucker Jacket looks like an average jean jacket but it contains a small electronic tag which connects to a section of conductive fibers, all built into the sleeve. The tag connects by Bluetooth to an Android smartphone, and the conductive fibers act as a touchpad. The Jacquard app lets users determine what the four different gestures, brushing in, brushing out, double-tapping, and covering the area, do.

Saykara Launches First Fully Ambient AI Healthcare Voice Assistant

#artificialintelligence

Saykara today announced the release of Kara 2.0, an AI-powered healthcare assistant that further simplifies the documentation process for physicians. Now featuring Ambient Mode, Kara 2.0 is a breakthrough AI-powered voice application for healthcare, allowing physicians and patients to interact as they normally do, all while Saykara listens, transcribes to text, parses text into structured data, and intelligently completes each form in a patient's electronic health record (EHR or chart). Saykara then automatically generates a clinic note including patient history, physical, assessment, plan, orders and referrals. With the release of Ambient Mode, Saykara is the only virtual healthcare assistant that can be used passively'in the room' during physician-patient appointments with no voice commands. Ambient Mode builds on Saykara's versatility and agnosticity, allowing it to better serve up to 18 disparate healthcare specialties, including primary care, pediatrics, internal medicine, orthopedics, urology and more.

Samsung unveils new QLED smart TVs that are almost invisible

Daily Mail - Science & tech

Samsung has figured out a way to almost make your TV magically disappear. The Korean tech giant unveiled its new line of futuristic smart TVs on Wednesday and one model can blend in with your wall -- just like a chameleon. Its next generation QLED TVs include a feature called Ambient Mode, which enables the TV to blend in to the background whenever it's turned off. Samsung uses a color and pattern matching technology to mimic the QLED TV's background, making it appear nearly invisible. To turn on Ambient Mode, open Samsung's SmartThings app, which is its connected home hub.

Hands on with Cozmo, the little AI robot that could

#artificialintelligence

Cozmo, the product of San Francisco-based startup Anki, received plenty of press when it made its July debut. Since then, the firm has demoed the artificially intelligent little robot's SDK, formally launched pre-orders, and prepared thousands of the AI-powered companions for shipment later this year. A few "escaped" early, though, including one that found its way to the New York offices of Digital Trends. For the better part of two weeks, we've been playing with it to find out just what makes it tick. The answer is simpler than it might appear at first glance.
