During my years in the financial industry at one of the top-tier banks in Nigeria, I became accustomed to many banking jargons and was exposed to new perspectives on business processes and funding. One of those words I learned was "crowdfunding." It was likened to a new escape route where I considered business enthusiasts and visionaries could share their business plan with certain people, whereby they would part with or invest a bit of money into the business. Several businesses enjoyed this initiative. Well, it's another day in the learning curve of life, and I recently came across another similar word called "crowdvocate."
