As executive chairman of Dick's Sporting Goods, Ed Stack has long helped shape the world of sports from the boardroom. Stack, whose father, Richard, founded the company in 1948, served as CEO from 1984 to 2021. He oversaw the company's evolution from a small regional chain to the largest sporting-goods retailer in the U.S., with more than 800 locations.
