How to get remote jobs in machine learning? • /r/MachineLearning

Although I currently work in data analytics and wanted to work in machine learning, I heard that data scientists and machine learning engineers have to give lots of presentations and be at the office to explain machine learning concepts to management and non-technical people, so remote opportunities are scarce. By working remotely, I don't want to just work from home. I was hoping I could live abroad for periods of at least a few months. Are there remote jobs for machine learning engineers and data scientists? What skills are most benificial for a remote career?
