GoPro hits the skies: Firm unveils 799 Karma drone for aerial action shots along with two new cameras and a cloud-based service
GoPro is taking to the sky in order to help users become better story tellers. The California firm has unveiled Karma drone, tailored for first-person-action mini-cameras, new Hero 5 cameras and a cloud-based service for storing, editing and sharing video. Karma's controller is equipped with a touchscreen display, two joysticks, and a button for navigating the vehicle and selecting shooting presets that let users capture stunning aerial shots. GoPro is taking to the sky in order to help users become better story tellers. 'We want to help you all become great storytellers,' said GoPro founder and chief executive Nick Woodman after making a rock-star entrance at a media event in a tent at the Squaw Valley ski area where the 1960 Winter Olympic Games were held.
