But late Sunday Emmett Shear, who formerly led Amazon's streaming platform Twitch, was appointed interim CEO at the AI company, according to multiple outlets. The Information first reported Shear's appointment. Shear and OpenAI did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Shear's arrival follows a dramatic and chaotic weekend at the world's most prominent artificial intelligence company, which develops the ChatGPT chatbot.
