The future of car racing revealed: Radical designs will compete in driverless 'Roborace' series in cities around the world

It is set to be the most radical overhaul of racing ever seen - and without a driver in sight. The first designs of the Roborace autonomous race car have been revealed – and later this year, they will begin competing against each other in cities around the world. The radical designs were created by newly-appointed Chief Design Officer Daniel Simon. Simon, who is renowned for his work on Hollywood Sci-Fi blockbusters such as Tron: Legacy and Oblivion. All the teams will have the same cars, but will create their own real-time computing algorithms and AI technologies.
