Artificial intelligence is being adapted for police body cameras that can spot suspects and missing children in real time. The controversial technology is expected to roll out to police departments around the U.S. as soon as this fall, according to the Wall Street Journal. It's being developed by startups and major tech firms in the hopes of making law enforcement officials' jobs easier. But it's also being criticized by privacy advocates who say it could lead to pervasive, dangerous surveillance of innocent individuals.
