Blockchain In AI Blockchain Use Cases In AI
We all are hoping for the next generation of technology, and we are having more expectations on the world's digital transformation which is gonna be the fourth industrial revolution. To empower this future technologcial changes and evolutions, blockchain has become the only hope for everyone. The most promising technologies that are expected to lead the world's fourth industrial transformation are Artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, Deep Learning, AR and VR. This power of this technology avengers has been swelled and spiraled into multiple branches with the arrival of Blockchain. We already have discussed how artificial intelligence is working in bitcoin and blockchain technology, check it out here.
Researchers use AI to detect schools of herring from acoustic data
Tracking the health of underwater species is critical to understanding the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems. Unfortunately, it's a time-consuming process -- biologists conduct studies with echosounders that use sonar to determine water and object depth, and they manually interpret the resulting 2D echograms. These interpretations are often prone to error and require pricey software like Echoview. Fortunately, a team of research scientists hailing from the University of Victoria in Canada are developing a machine learning method for detecting specific biological targets in acoustic survey data. In a preprint paper ("A Deep Learning based Framework for the Detection of Schools of Herring in Echograms"), they say that their approach -- which they tested on schools of herring -- might measurably improve the accuracy of environmental monitoring.
Booksby.ai is a bookshop entirely created by artificial intelligence
Melding the disparate worlds of art and computer science, Andreas Refsgaard and Mikkel Loose have developed a fascinating AI project called Booksby.ai, an online bookstore entirely generated by artificial intelligence. Every aspect of the site is generated by machine learning algorithms, from the entire books and accompanying cover artwork, to the reviews and pictures of people reviewing the books. And on top of that, all the books are actually available to buy on Amazon. Andreas Refsgaard is an artist exploring creative uses for machine learning. Based in Copenhagen, the Booksby.ai
Exclusive Interview with Dr. Sunil Kumar Vuppala - A Deep Learning Expert and IoT Veteran
There are multiple ways to learn data science, machine learning and deep learning concepts. You can watch videos, read articles, enroll in courses, attend meetups, among other things. I have personally learned a LOT from interacting with data science experts and industry thought leaders. Their experience in managing end-to-end machine learning and deep learning projects, their thinking when building a data science team from scratch, how they managed tough projects and overcame hurdles, etc. โ we simply cannot learn all of these in any course. So, I am thrilled to present an exclusive interview with one such data science expert and industry thought leader โ Dr. Sunil Kumar Vuppala!
7 Amazing NLP Hack Sessions at DataHack Summit 2019
This isn't a movie script or a futuristic scenario โ this is all happening right now thanks to the power of Natural Language Processing (NLP)! I honestly feel the number of breakthroughs happening in this field is unparalleled. The past two years have been a blur โ the Transformer architecture, introduced in 2017, has truly transformed the NLP space. From the super-efficient ULMFiT framework to Google's BERT, NLP is truly in the midst of a golden era. Are you ready to be part of this revolution?
Super-Compressible Material Developed Through AI
The Seattle-based food tech company Picnic is in the process of utilizing AI to create pizzas for their customers. The deep learning algorithms used by Picnic are capable of running a pizza production line with very little oversight, analyzing the pizza at different stages with a computer-vision system. Picnic was once called Vivid Robotics and the company has created what it dubs the first every all-purpose, automated system designed for the creation of food in the hospitality and foodservice sectors. According to TechXplore, the system is integrated with an app that customers can download and order pizzas with, customizing their toppings. The orders are given directly to the system, and the AI can oversee the creation of up to 300 12-inch or 180 18-inch pizzas every hour.

Understanding Artificial Intelligence Deep Learning: From Cats to Stars
Artificial Intelligence โ deep learning is a subset of machine learning. The man who coined the phrase'machine leaning', IBM developer Arthur Samuel, once described it as a "field of study that gives computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed." At the time he was teaching IBM's systems to play checkersโฆ Where machine learning algorithms work well on datasets that have up to a few hundred columns, unstructured datasets like images or videos have so many features that traditional methods of training them are unfeasible. As Datarobot explains: "Deep learning algorithms learn progressively more about the image as it goes through each neural network layer. Early layers learn how to detect low-level features like edges, and subsequent layers combine features from earlier layers into a more holistic representation. For example, a middle layer might identify edges to detect parts of an object in the photo such as a leg or a branch, while a deep layer will detect the full object such as a dog or a tree."
