The immediate response was astonishment, followed almost immediately by terror about its ramifications -- most notably that it might generate school essays for dishonest kids. Yesterday, almost exactly two months later, OpenAI, ChatGPT's parent company released what many users hope will be the antidote to the poison. OpenAI's "classifier for indicating AI-written text" is the company's latest invention, and it's as easy-to-use as one could want: Copy-paste text into the box, click "Submit," and get your result. But if you're expecting a straight answer, you're going to be disappointed.

On Wednesday, ChatGPT announced a $20 per-month subscription plan, which will ensure subscribers receive access to quick responses and priority access to new features and updates. In a tweet, Satya Nadella shared, "ChatGPT is coming soon to the Azure OpenAI Service, which is now generally available, as we help customers apply the world's most advanced AI models to their own business imperatives." Eric Boyd, Corporate Vice President, AI Platform at Microsoft in a blog shared that Azure OpenAI service is now generally available and will enable businesses to"apply for access to the most advanced AI models in the world--including GPT-3.5, Codex, and DALL•E 2--backed by the trusted enterprise-grade capabilities and AI-optimized infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, to create cutting-edge applications." Azure is also the core computing power behind OpenAI API's family of models for research advancement and developer productivity.

OpenAI is now offering a new subscription plan called "ChatGPT Plus" which will give users faster response times and priority access to new features and improvements. The subscription is only available to the U.S. and the company says it is going to waitlist people over coming weeks. It plans on expanding to additional countries "soon". The company also says it is going to keep its free version available.
