ChatGPT and Cybersecurity: What AI means for digital security - AfricaBusiness.com
As AI technology like ChatGPT evolves, so do the strategies and tactics used by cybercriminals. Steve Flynn, Sales and Marketing Director at ESET Southern Africa, says ongoing awareness is crucial in understanding how to manage potential cybersecurity challenges posed by these developing tools. As artificial intelligence (AI) technology becomes a new reality for individuals and businesses, its potential impact on cybersecurity cannot be ignored. OpenAI and its language model, ChatGPT, are no exception and while these tools offer significant benefits to almost every industry, they also present new challenges for digital security. ChatGPT raises concerns due to its natural language processing capabilities, which could be used to create highly personalised and sophisticated cyberattacks.
Spotify's new 'DJ' feature is the first step into the streamer's AI-powered future
Spotify has bigger plans for the technology behind its new AI DJ feature after seeing positive consumer reaction to the new feature. Launched just ahead of the company's Stream On event in L.A. last week, the AI DJ curates a personalized selection of music combined with spoken commentary delivered in a realistic-sounding, AI-generated voice. But under the hood, the feature leverages the latest in AI technologies and large language models, as well as generative voice -- all of which are layered on top of Spotify's existing investments in personalization and machine learning. These new tools don't necessarily have to be limited to a single feature, Spotify believes, which is why it's now experimenting with other applications of the technology. Though the highlight from Spotify's Stream On event was the mobile app's revamp, which now focuses on TikTok-like discovery feeds for music, podcasts, and audiobooks, the AI DJ is now a prominent part of the streaming service's new experience.
Salesforce Einstein GPT, Features and Benefits for Businesses !
On February 8, 2023, Marc Benioff and Salesforce made a Twitter announcement about the teaser, giving a few cryptic hints about what to expect. Now that the official announcement has been made, the mystery surrounding Einstein GPT is slowly being cleared up. The first generative AI for CRM, Einstein GPT, was announced by Salesforce, the top provider of CRM software worldwide. This ground-breaking technology aids businesses of all sizes in automating procedures, boosting productivity, enhancing customer service and much more. By fusing NLP and machine learning, Einstein GPT can assist businesses in better understanding their clients, increasing sales, and improving marketing.
Microsoft reveals OpenAI's next GPT-4 upgrade lets you turn text into video
A Microsoft executive has revealed OpenAI is planning on releasing its upgraded model that powers AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft's Bing Chat. The news comes from Microsoft Germany's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Andreas Braun, who appeared on stage at the AI in Focus - Digital Kickoff event on March 9 alongside other Microsoft Germany employees. All of the Microsoft officials discussed the upcoming ventures with artificial intelligence language models and the involvement of OpenAI's GPT series. Reports now indicate that OpenAI, in which Microsoft has heavily invested with more than $10 billion already pledged, is nearing the end of development for GPT-4, the next upgrade in the underlying technology powering the now immensely popular AI tools. According to Baum, OpenAI will be rolling out GPT-4 sometime "next week", which means we can expect some kind of announcement from OpenAI this week since Baum made those comments on March 9. "We will introduce GPT-4 next week, there we will have multimodal models that will offer completely different possibilities - for example videos," Braun said.
100 days of frenzied hype around generative AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) has quickly become the shiniest penny in marketing as the technology has seemingly passed the uncanny valley after years of waxing and waning hype. Since the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT on Nov. 30, the pace at which companies have embraced and invested in related technology has been staggering, with tech behemoths and major brands making big bets on generative AI. Investment in and expansion of AI tools could impact everything from search to social media, changing how brands and agencies do business. And despite its rapid growth, there are still questions about how to use AI ethically and how to meet consumer expectations around the tech. A majority (60%) of consumers says ChatGPT will impact society in ways we don't yet understand, according to a study conducted by mobile market research consultancy Reach3 Insights.
Mapping the Design Space of Interactions in Human-AI Text Co-creation Tasks
Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated impressive text generation capabilities, prompting us to reconsider the future of human-AI co-creation and how humans interact with LLMs. In this paper, we present a spectrum of content generation tasks and their corresponding human-AI interaction patterns. These tasks include: 1) fixed-scope content curation tasks with minimal human-AI interactions, 2) independent creative tasks with precise human-AI interactions, and 3) complex and interdependent creative tasks with iterative human-AI interactions. We encourage the generative AI and HCI research communities to focus on the more complex and interdependent tasks, which require greater levels of human involvement.
Has the generative AI pricing collapse already started?
OpenAI just announced pricing for businesses seeking to integrate its ChatGPT service into their own products, and it looks an awful lot like a 90 percent off sale. It all starts with OpenAI, a former nonprofit that's now gunning for riches as lustily as any Silicon Valley unicorn. The company has built a dazzling array of products, including the DALL-E image generator and the renowned ChatGPT service. ChatGPT is powered by a system known as a large language model (or LLM), and it's one of several LLM lines that OpenAI sells commercially. Buyers of LLM output are mostly companies that integrate language-related services like chat, composition, summarization, software generation, online search, sentiment analysis, and much more into their websites, services, and products.
Can Businesses Help Build Trustworthy And Accurate Generative AI? - cyberpogo
Automation relies on human dependence on machine intelligence, which is deeply affected by the universal values of accuracy and trust. Automation and efficiency initiatives will be hampered by a lack of adherence to these principles. An entirely novel wave of automation entered the world in November 2022 with the launch of ChatGPT and its potent computational capacity and ability to generate content on its own. Some incorrect content produced by ChatGPT and its rival Bard, however, has damaged public belief in these artificially intelligent machines. While many were enthralled by how quickly these tools could produce content, many were worried about the accuracy and trustworthiness of this machine-generated material.
Understanding the new Buzzword: ChatGPT from OpenAI - Procommun
OpenAI is an artificial intelligence research organization that develops advanced AI models and systems. OpenAI was founded by a group of technology leaders, including Elon Musk, Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, Ilya Sutskever, and Wojciech Zaremba.
