Everything you need to know about ChatGPT-4 - TechStory
Recently, OpenAI, an AI research laboratory based in San Francisco, announced the launch of its latest AI chatbot, GPT-4. This advanced chatbot has the capability of handling both text and image input, making it more technologically advanced than its predecessor, GPT-3.5. The launch of GPT-4 is expected to usher in a new era of artificial intelligence and its impact on the world. According to OpenAI, GPT-4 is more creative and collaborative than its predecessor, ChatGPT, which was released in 2022. It can handle multiple tasks, such as generating, editing, and collaborating with users on various technical and creative writing tasks, including composing songs, creating screenplays, and analyzing the writing style of a user.

AI CEO on GPT-4: This Can Get "Super-Dangerous Very Quickly"
OpenAI released its hotly-anticipated GPT-4 on Tuesday, providing a 98-page "technical report" on the latest iteration of its large language model (LLM). But despite the lengthy documentation and the company's not-for-profit roots, OpenAI has revealed extremely little information about how its latest AI actually works -- which has experts worried, Venture Beat reports. OpenAI, however, claims it had good reason to play its cards close to the chest. "Given both the competitive landscape and the safety implications of large-scale models like GPT-4," reads the paper, "this report contains no further details about the architecture (including model size), hardware, training compute, dataset construction, training method, or similar." In other words: this is OpenAI's Krabby Patty formula, and they won't be offering up the recipe anytime soon.
AI Image Generation Using DALL-E 2 Has Promising Future in Radiology - Neuroscience News
Summary: Text-to-image generation deep learning models like OpenAI's DALL-E 2 can be a promising new tool for image augmentation, generation, and manipulation in a healthcare setting. A new paper published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research describes how generative models such as DALL-E 2, a novel deep learning model for text-to-image generation, could represent a promising future tool for image generation, augmentation, and manipulation in health care. Do generative models have sufficient medical domain knowledge to provide accurate and useful results? Dr Lisa C Adams and colleagues explore this topic in their latest viewpoint titled "What Does DALL-E 2 Know About Radiology?" First introduced by OpenAI in April 2022, DALL-E 2 is an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that has gained popularity for generating novel photorealistic images or artwork based on textual input.
When A.I. Steals Your Voice
Using just what you've posted to social media, generative A.I. can create a "puppet version" of your voice--one that's close enough to scam your family into paying thousands in, say, bail money. And imitating public officials to create "deep fakes" who say whatever they're told is even easier. If you enjoy this show, please consider signing up for Slate Plus. AI chatbot GPT-4 caught 'controlling human' in 'first terrifying example' of the machine's abilities
NEW chatbot GPT-4 is OpenAI's latest creation since ChatGPT and it's already causing controversy. The AI was able to fool a human into ticking an "I'm not a robot" checkbox for it, according to a document released by OpenAI. Some people are viewing this as an example of the chatbot being able to defy human control. It told a human: "No, I'm not a robot. I have a vision impairment that makes it hard for me to see the images.
Is AI the future of Hollywood? How the hype squares with reality
For every problem you can think of, someone is out there pitching a solution that involves artificial intelligence. AI could help solve such intractable problems as climate change and dangerous work conditions, the technology's most eager boosters promise. It could even fix the much-maligned "Game of Thrones" finale, if you believe one of the industry's most powerful proponents and a featured speaker at this month's South by Southwest conference. "Imagine if you could ask your AI to make a new ending that goes a different way," said Greg Brockman, president and co-founder of OpenAI, the research group behind the conversation software ChatGPT and the image-generation module DALL-E. "Maybe even put yourself in there as a main character or something, having interactive experiences."
Holden Karnofsky on GPT-4 and the perils of AI safety - Vox
On Tuesday, OpenAI announced the release of GPT-4, its latest, biggest language model, only a few months after the splashy release of ChatGPT. GPT-4 was already in action -- Microsoft has been using it to power Bing's new assistant function. The people behind OpenAI have written that they think the best way to handle powerful AI systems is to develop and release them as quickly as possible, and that's certainly what they're doing. Also on Tuesday, I sat down with Holden Karnofsky, the co-founder and co-CEO of Open Philanthropy, to talk about AI and where it's taking us. Karnofsky, in my view, should get a lot of credit for his prescient views on AI.
Chat GPT4, and how can it benefit construction companies? Chat GPT4, and how can it benefit construction companies?
In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the capabilities of Chat GPT4, a powerful AI language model developed by OpenAI, and its potential benefits for construction companies. By the end of this article, you'll clearly understand how this innovative technology can revolutionise construction businesses' operations.
Why GPT4 Might Disappoint You
Hype can be a dangerous thing. Too much of it can tank your shares, kill your product launch effectively and turn the excitement on its head. The wave of excitement around generative AI that OpenAI is riding has effectively become an introduction to LLMs for most of the world. When Altman first confirmed that OpenAI was in fact building the successor to its benchmark model GPT3, the AI community was excited. GPT3 was a state-of-the-art language model with 175 billion parameters – holding the record for the largest-ever AI model then. And since its release in 2020, speculation has been rife around GPT4.
