Should we fear AI? Google reveals its top five concerns about the future of robots

#artificialintelligence

Alarmists may foresee a terrifying dystopian future in which robots rule the Earth with a cold, harsh, metallic grip. But a Google research paper suggests our robot friends are more likely to mess up our bedrooms than force us into indentured servitude. The paper, titled'Concrete Problems in AI Safety' lists five of the safety concerns Google has for the future of robotics. "For example, we don't want this cleaning robot simply covering over messes with materials it can't see through" the team wrote. "The authors believe AI technologies are likely to be overwhelmingly beneficial for humanity, but we also believe it is worth giving serious thought to potential challenges and risks," the paper continued.

The Turing Test and his validity - Scinering

The question asked by Alan Turing in his paper well known as "Computing Machinery and intelligence." Turing assumed that machine to be consider smart as human have to pass the "The Turing Test". The basics of the "Turing Test" is three players. Player A and B, and one of them can be artificial intelligence. And player C, that takes the part of being interrogator.

A.I. Downs Expert Human Fighter Pilot In Dogfight Simulation

#artificialintelligence

In the military world, fighter pilots have long been described as the best of the best. As Tom Wolfe famously wrote, only those with the "right stuff" can handle the job. Now, it seems, the right stuff may no longer be the sole purview of human pilots. A pilot A.I. developed by a doctoral graduate from the University of Cincinnati has shown that it can not only beat other A.I.s, but also a professional fighter pilot with decades of experience. In a series of flight combat simulations, the A.I. successfully evaded retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Gene "Geno" Lee, and shot him down every time.

Enterprises struggle to effectively integrate digital technologies into business processes that cut across the company to deliver the right customer experience. Analytics also must drive more upstream decisions around product design, customer sentiment, and distribution chain visibility.

This New Banking AI Is the Here and Now of Chatbots

WIRED

I just asked a bot to tell me how much I spent on coffee this past month. And a few moments later, it replied. Certainly, I drink an awful lot of coffee. After asking the bot for a bit more information, I can happily say I spent at least some of that nearly two hundred dollars on chopped fruit and the occasional pastry. The bot didn't actually explain this, but it did give me list all payments to coffee shops, which made things clear.

Soteria Intelligence Disrupts Social Media Analytics, Uses Machine Learning to Detect Threats

#artificialintelligence

Soteria Intelligence is excited to announce the company's research and development focused on creating the next generation of social media threat intelligence solutions with the power to learn and become more effective over time. Instead of taking an approach that looks at combinations of keywords, conversations on a map or other social media analytics that produce a high number of recurring false positives, Soteria Intelligence is implementing machine learning to use false positives, vetted by analysts, as educational tools that continually improve system accuracy. The company is also training its system with proprietary data on past social media threats and, through the understanding of false positives and integration of historical data, combined with natural language processing, image recognition, sentiment analysis and other functionality, Soteria Intelligence is revolutionizing the way social media threats are identified and assessed. "As someone who has spent the past 10 years guiding large organizations throughout the world on complex social media initiatives while using social media analytics tools along the way, I understand where they shine and fall short. I also see what's needed to accurately identify threatening social media behavior on the horizon," stated Aaron Schoenberger, Founder and CEO of Soteria Intelligence.
