Elon Musk's 2018 pay package from Tesla, once worth $56bn, has been restored by the Delaware Supreme Court, in the United States, two years after a lower court struck down the compensation deal as "unfathomable". Friday's ruling overturns a decision that had prompted a furious backlash from Musk and damaged Delaware's business-friendly reputation. The ruling means that Musk can finally get paid for his work since 2018, when he transformed Tesla from a struggling startup to one of the world's most valuable companies. The 2018 pay deal provided Musk options to acquire about 304 million Tesla shares at a deeply discounted price if the company hit various milestones, which it did. Tesla estimated in 2018 that the plan was potentially worth $56bn, although given the rise in the stock price, the value ballooned to about $120bn by early November.

Netflix is acquiring Estonian startup Ready Player Me, a company creating cross-game avatar tech that allows players to bring their digital personas with them to different games, the company's CEO Timmu Tõke shared in a LinkedIn post . The acquisition is part of Netflix's new games strategy, which puts an emphasis on approachable multiplayer titles and adaptations of the streaming service's IP. Ready Player Me's team of around 20 employees will be incorporated into Netflix's staff, writes, though Tõke is the only one of the startup's four founders who will continue on after the acquisition. Neither company has shared when the avatar tech will be incorporated into Netflix's games or what games will support the feature when they do.

PCWorld reports that OpenAI has launched an app store for ChatGPT, allowing developers to submit applications that integrate directly with the AI chatbot platform. Users can access apps through the sidebar's'Apps' button and interact with them by typing '@appname' during conversations, with categories including Featured, Lifestyle, and Productivity. This expansion transforms ChatGPT into a more comprehensive platform where developers can even link apps to external sites for purchasing physical goods. OpenAI just announced in a blog post that you can now connect ChatGPT with even more apps. In fact, OpenAI has also opened things up for developers to submit their own apps for review, which can then be published in ChatGPT's app library. You'll be able to access the ChatGPT app store via the Apps button in the sidebar of ChatGPT. The apps in the store are divided into Featured, Lifestyle, and Productivity categories. Once you've linked an app to the chatbot, you'll be able to use it by typing in your ChatGPT conversations, and the app in question will then be able to help you with things like booking reservations and ordering food.
