Daisy Sound's First Headphones Are Premium, High-Quality--and Just a Little Bit Cheaper

WIRED

Daisy's First Headphones Are Premium, High-Quality--and Just a Little Bit Cheaper The California-based startup enters a crowded headphone market with a $399 chiseled-aluminum gamble. Jack Mulroe thinks the premium headphone market is boring. Too focused on black, samey-looking devices; too caught up in the "spec wars" to figure out what the very best headset is . He just wants his California-inspired headphones to help people chill. "I just saw a pattern of there being kind of a dead space, honestly, in the headphone market, where the most recent culturally relevant brand was Beats," Mulroe says.

Prime Day's best OLED monitor deal is still here at 315

PCWorld

When you purchase through links in our articles, we may earn a small commission. Prime Day's best OLED monitor deal is still here at $315 Amazon's deal is gone, but Walmart is still matching the price on this 27-inch QHD monitor, for over $200 off the retail price. The best deal I found on OLED monitors on Amazon Prime week was an Acer Predator 27-inch, QHD design for $314.99. But Prime Day is over, and that deal is gone at least on Amazon. Oddly, Walmart in the US is still selling the same model for the same price, $314.99, and you don't need any sort of subscription to buy it.

The Busy Bar Is a Gadget to Get People to Leave You Alone

WIRED

Flipper Devices, a company that built a banned hacking device, now wants to hack your attention span. Focus and productivity apps abound, all to help you stave off the many distractions coming from your phone. Digital well-being tools can silence notifications, limit apps like TikTok and Instagram, and help you focus on the task at hand. But you can also turn them off very easily as soon as you feel like you haven't endlessly scrolled enough. This is where Flipper's Busy Bar comes in, a hardware clock with an LED screen that doubles as a clock and a dedicated timer.

62 Last Minute Prime Day Weekend Deals: Up to 45% Off (2026)

WIRED

Prime Day has officially ended, but many of our favorite, hand-picked deals are still available through the weekend. Amazon Prime Day is over, and many of the deals we saw through the week are gone. Plenty of our favorite deals are still around, and you'll notice that while some Amazon prices have reverted back, some other retailers are offering deal prices throughout the weekend. And just as a reminder: We don't recommend products that haven't personally used ourselves. The WIRED Reviews team tests products all year round to ensure we can vouch for the deals we suggest. One of the best budget wireless chargers is even more affordable thanks to Prime Day. You can buy fancier, faster wireless chargers, but if you just want a simple option that'll top off your phone, this is worth checking out. It can deliver up to 10 watts, though you'll need to supply your own wall adapter. This remains one of my favorite Windows laptops, and I'm ecstatic that it's gotten a decent price drop for Prime Day. It's certainly the most compelling alternative to the MacBook Air, I still think the screen is incredibly unique, with its taller 3:2 aspect ratio. Once you see it in person, you'll notice the difference right away. With more vertical screen space, you see more lines of spreadsheets, more content of websites, and more space on your canvas as a creator.

Duer's Wear-Everywhere Pants Are on Sale This Weekend

WIRED

It's a rare chance to save on the outdoor-coded Canadian company's understated and stylish performance clothing. Now that Amazon Prime Day is over, it's time to start gearing up for Fourth of July sales. Most large retailers pivoted their summer-sale timing to compete head-on with Amazon's accelerated schedule, but you can still snag great deals this July 4th, particularly in active and outdoorsy categories. REI has the hottest sale of the weekend as far as the WIRED Reviews team is concerned, but there are notable midsummer sales on other sites we shop, like Backcountry, Home Depot, and Lululemon . Also, make sure you don't sleep on Duer.

How People in China Keep Outsmarting Anthropic's Geolocation Restrictions

WIRED

How People in China Keep Outsmarting Anthropic's Geolocation Restrictions As Anthropic tightens restrictions on access to Claude in China, users keep finding new workarounds, from proxy services to fake identities sourced on Telegram. Anthropic goes to great lengths to prevent people in China from using its AI models, but in practice, its safeguards have often failed. Over the past year, startups, researchers, and tech enthusiasts across the country have developed increasingly sophisticated workarounds to access Claude. Many of them consider it the world's most capable AI assistant, making the extra effort to obtain it worthwhile. In early June, Anthropic publicly released Fable 5, a safeguarded version of its most powerful AI model to date, Mythos.

Ninja Creami Swirl, Crispi, Slushi, and Cafe Luxe Pro are all on Prime Day deals that will soon go away. Life is all about the shots you take--and the ones you don't. Amazon Prime Day ends today. When it does, the Ninja deals will vanish. So this is likely the last time till autumn to get deals on the Ninja Creami Scoop and Swirl that turned one of my colleagues into an excitable fanatic for Froyo and soft-serve.

10 Best Prime Day Streaming Deals, Including Half Off Apple TV (2026)

WIRED

It's also about cheap streaming channels to watch on your cheap TV. Sure, Amazon Prime Day is better known for deals on tech, robot vacuums, and Apple products . But in recent years, it's also become a great time for Prime Day streaming deals and discounts. As long as you sign up through your existing Amazon Prime account (so make sure you're logged in before you try to shop these!) a lot of the major streamers--Apple TV, HBO, Peacock, Paramount Plus --are all offering nearly free two-month trials for the final day of Prime Day. It means you get to binge whatever you want while sitting by the pool during most of the summer, probably for a buck a month.

How to See the Giant Asteroid That Will Pass by Earth This Weekend

WIRED

The asteroid will be visible for several nights from different parts of the world. We'll tell you when and where to look, and what equipment you'll need to spot it. The European Space Agency (ESA) confirmed that this weekend, asteroid (152637) 1997 NC1 will make its closest approach to Earth in 400 years. There's no risk it will hit Earth, but it will be visible through commercial telescopes and astronomical binoculars from various parts of the world. The closest approach will occur on Saturday, June 27, when the asteroid will pass 2.56 million kilometers (1.59 million miles) from Earth--a distance equivalent to 6.6 times the distance between Earth and the moon.
