The most recent series is an in-depth machine learning course, aimed at breaking down the complex ML concepts that are typically just "done for you" in a hand-wavy fashion with packages and modules. The machine learning series is aimed at just about anyone with a basic understanding of Python programming and the willingness to learn. Meet Jill Watson, a first-time teaching assistant at Georgia Tech assigned to moderate an online forum for a computer science class. Jill was 1 of 9 TAs assigned to help answer questions about coursework and projects from the 300 students enrolled in the advanced course. During the first few weeks in January, Jill really struggled. This was Knowledge-Based Artificial Intelligence, after all, a course with the goal to "build AI agents capable of human-level intelligence and gain insights into human cognition." It was also a requirement for graduate students to earn their master's degree.

An'emotion detector' has been created which researchers claim will be able to tell whether or not a person finds you attractive almost instantly. An'emotion detector' concept has been designed that can tell if a person finds you attractive on the first date by measuring skin and heart rate responses and a pupil-dilation measure. Researchers at the University of Lancaster were inspired to make the device by a gadget featured in the 1982 sci-fi fantasy film'Blade Runner'.

Logistic Regression is one of the most powerful classification methods within machine learning and can be used for a wide variety of tasks. Think of pre-policing or predictive analytics in health; it can be used to aid tuberculosis patients, aid breast cancer diagnosis, etc. Think of modeling urban growth, analysing mortgage pre-payments and defaults, forecasting the direction and strength of stock market movement, and even predicting sport outcomes. Reading all of this, the theory[1] of Maximum Entropy Classification might look difficult. In my experience, the average Developer does not believe they can design a proper Maximum Entropy / Logistic Regression Classifier from scratch. I strongly disagree: not only is the mathematics behind is relatively simple, it can also be implemented with a few lines of code.

Soldiers are expected to carry heavy packs across rough terrain, sometimes under fire. Now engineers have created a flexible exosuit designed to make their lives slightly easier because it reduces the energy cost of walking when carrying heavy load. The textile suit, using cables and motors, could also be used by hikers and emergency professionals who are first on the scene of an incident. Unlike the exosuits seen in superhero films, engineers at Harvard University used fabric to build their suit. By comparison, rigid exoskeletons are heavier and can interfere with the natural movement of the joints, causing the wearer to change the way they walk.
