Investors looking for the most recent technology trends should look no further than the Gartner's Top Tech Trends 2016 list. The research firm has divided the top tech trends in business into several categories and we dove down into a few them to pull out some of the best ones for investors. They include: driverless cars, artificial intelligence, and virtual and augmented reality. IHS Automotive estimates that 10% of all light vehicles sold by 2035 will by fully autonomous (as in, they can drive themselves around everywhere). The group also anticipates that driverless cars will become ubiquitous some time after 2050.

Baidu Open Cloud launches video streaming, image processing, IoT services
Chinese technology company Baidu today announced the launch of a few new services within its Baidu Open Cloud public cloud infrastructure portfolio. Baidu TianSuan (Smart Big Data) lets customers "collect, store, process and analyze big data," Baidu said in a statement. Baidu TianXiang (Smart Multimedia Cloud) includes face recognition and live video streaming, while Baidu TianGong (Intelligent IoT Service) is a full-stack platform for integrating cloud applications with internet-connected devices. The additions bring Baidu more in line with the world's leading cloud infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Amazon and Microsoft have both introduced Internet of Things (IoT) services.

NVIDIA's Deep Learning Car Computer Selected by Volvo on Journey Toward a Crash-Free Future
CES--Volvo Cars will use the NVIDIA DRIVE PX 2 deep learning- based computing engine to power a fleet of 100 Volvo XC90 SUVs starting to hit the road next year in the Swedish carmaker's Drive Me autonomous-car pilot program, NVIDIA announced today. Autonomous technology is an important contributor to Volvo's Vision 2020 -- its guiding principles for creating safer vehicles. This work has resulted in world-leading advancements in autonomous and semi-autonomous driving, and a new safety benchmark for the automotive industry. Microsoft CEO: Chatbots will 'fundamentally revolutionize' computing
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said on Monday that chatbots will "fundamentally revolutionize how computing is experienced by everybody." Nadella explained that for now, bots will augment apps, but in time, human language will be taught to all computers and become "the new interface." "So pretty much everyone today who is building applications whether they be mobile apps or desktop apps or websites will build bots as the new interface, where you have a human dialogue interface versus menus of the past," he said. Nadella spoke onstage at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference, an annual developer gathering in Toronto. He painted a similarly ambitious picture in April when Microsoft Bot Framework was launched at Build, Microsoft's annual developer conference.
