My Shortlist of AI & ML Stuff: Books, Courses and More
This means only one thing; you need to be prepared for constant learning. With all the abundance of abstract terms and an almost infinite number of details, the AI and ML learning curve can indeed be steep for many. But, getting started with anything new is hard, isn't it? Moreover, I believe everyone can learn it if only there is a strong desire. Besides, there is an effective approach that will facilitate your learning.
Statistics and Analysis of Scientific Data
As in the first edition, the main pedagogical method is a theory-then-application approach, where emphasis is placed first on a sound understanding of the underlying theory of a topic, which becomes the basis for an efficient and practical application of the material. The level is appropriate for undergraduates and beginning graduate students, and as a reference for the experienced researcher. Basic calculus is used in some of the derivations, and no previous background in probability and statistics is required. The book includes many numerical tables of data, as well as exercises and examples to aid the readers' understanding of the topic.
iPhone text 'bomb' can crash iOS 13 with just a string of letters
A new Apple text "bomb" forces iPhones that receive it to crash. The innocent-looking message โ which is made up of the Italian flag emoji and a Sindhi character โ overloads the device and forces it to shut down. It works on Macs, Apple Watches and iPads as well as iPhones and there is hardly anything that can be done to stop the damage. The bug seems to exploit a problem in the message notifications on the phone, which means that it is unable to display the notification about the new message and crashes the app. While the problem will sometimes simply force the Messages app to crash and re-open, some users have reported that the problem can also force the iPhone itself to shut down.
Serge Belongie Appointed Andrew H. and Ann R. Tisch Chaired Professor at Cornell Tech
Serge Belongie, member of the Computer Science department and Associate Dean at Cornell Tech, has been named Andrew H. and Ann R. Tisch Professor. In response to his investiture as an endowed chair, which began on April 1st, Belongie says "I wish I had the words to express my gratitude for this remarkable honor." In his capacity as Associate Dean at Cornell Tech, Belongie is "busy with coronavirus pandemic-related planning for Fall semester course offerings." As professor, he is working on "growing our cross-campus research efforts in Mixed Reality." The latter initiative "gathers efforts from across Cornell's campuses that relate to augmented and virtual reality, and their core disciplines of computer vision, computer graphics, and human-computer interaction."
If I had to start learning data science again, how would I do it?
A couple of days ago I started thinking if I had to start learning machine learning and data science all over again where would I start? The funny thing was that the path that I imagined was completely different from that one that I actually did when I was starting. I'm aware that we all learn in different ways. Some prefer videos, others are ok with just books and a lot of people need to pay for a course to feel more pressure. And that's ok, the important thing is to learn and enjoy it.

Open Resources to Become Knowledgeable in the Field of AI
As Artificial Intelligence has become one of the most significant forces driving innovation and economic development, this societal transformation requires new knowledge and an additional set of skills. Just as knowing a BIM software has become a prerequisite for most architecture jobs, understanding or even knowing how to use AI-related tools would become a desirable asset, if not a requirement in the future. However, with a vast array of information available, how does one begin to venture into this topic? The following is a compilation of online resources, lectures, and courses, that could provide a better understanding of the field and how to incorporate it into the practice of architecture. What does Artificial Intelligence represent, what is the difference between machine learning and deep learning?

Deep Learning on ARM Processors - From Ground Up
All Arm trademarks featured in this course are registered or unregistered trademarks of Arm Limited (or its subsidiaries) in the US or elsewhere. Welcome to the Deep Learning From Ground Up on ARM Processors course. We are going to embark on a very exciting journey together. We are going to learn how to build deep neural networks from scratch on our microcontrollers. We shall begin by learning the basics of deep learning with practical code showing each of the basic building blocks that end up making a giant deep neural network.
Neural Network-Based Collaborative Filtering for Question Sequencing
