COPAN Continues to Make Great Strides in Advancing Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and Digital Plate Reading for Microbiology BioSpace
Microbiology is one of the most labor-intensive disciplines within the clinical laboratory field, and its role is of vital importance to overall healthcare. It is well established that laboratory professionals are asked to do more with fewer resources and to constantly demonstrate the value of laboratory medicine in clinical outcomes. "As the demand for laboratory testing increases and reimbursement rates and qualified personnel dwindle at a rapid speed, COPAN is investing in developing comprehensive A.I. solutions to support and amplify the laboratories' ingenuity and maximize the use of their resources," stated Norman Sharples, CEO of COPAN Diagnostics, Inc. "Having worked in a clinical laboratory in the past, it is fascinating to see Microbiology at an interesting juxtaposition where traditional techniques, like planting and streaking on culture media, combine with incredible advances in Artificial Intelligence and digital plate reading. COPAN is staying at the forefront of this new exciting frontier for Microbiology," added Sharples. With the interest in A.I. in Microbiology increasing, COPAN is excited to support a new American Society for Microbiology (ASM) webinar series titled "Artificial Intelligence: Applications for the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory of Today."
On Education CATIA imagine and shape deep learning from A to Z for beginners! - CouponED
Thank you for joining the student community on Eduonix and we are super excited to have you on board! The Imagine & Shape product is a new-generation tool dedicated to the creation of shapes in a very fast and easy way. Using this product allows the user to concretize his imagination and get also the benefit of paintings created using the Sketch Tracer product. As a scalable product, Imagine & Shape can be used in cooperation with other products such as Part Design, Generative Shape Design and FreeStyle. Therefore, the global process can be dramatically reduced as there is no data interruption between styling and engineering. This course will teach you how to use the Imagine and Shape workbench in CATIA to create new product shapes.
Using AI 4 HR to Enhance the Employee Experience
"Using AI 4 HR opened my eyes and created for me a global vision for how artificial intelligence is being used across all areas of HR. I recommended our entire team of HR enroll in this course." "Using AI4HR was a great opportunity to have a first contact with AI in all applications for HR and this gave me a high-level view on the topic. The best part was being able to visualize how to apply AI for HR through real world case studies and seeing what other people and other companies are already doing and the results they were experiencing in their organization. "As a company, we are starting on our journey to deploy artificial intelligence and I found the online course Using AI4HR to be inspirational, practical and a great way to network with other HR leaders on the journey.
OpenCV Android Programming By Example - Programmer Books
You will discover that, though computer vision is a challenging subject, the ideas and algorithms used are simple and intuitive, and you will appreciate the abstraction layer that OpenCV uses to do the heavy lifting for you. Packed with many examples, the book will help you understand the main data structures used within OpenCV, and how you can use them to gain performance boosts. Next we will discuss and use several image processing algorithms such as histogram equalization, filters, and color space conversion. You then will learn about image gradients and how they are used in many shape analysis techniques such as edge detection, Hough Line Transform, and Hough Circle Transform. In addition to using shape analysis to find things in images, you will learn how to describe objects in images in a more robust way using different feature detectors and descriptors.
These CXOs wanna go back to school again
Bengaluru New Delhi: A month ago, Tanmay Saksena, chief operating officer of online pharmacy 1mg, became a student again. He signed up on ed-tech platform Coursera to take the'AI For Everyone' course. With a lot of information thrown around about artificial intelligence and its increasing importance in business, he felt he needed to educate himself on its applications and limitations. As AI and other emerging technologies like machine learning (ML), blockchain, and data analytics are increasingly being seen as game-changers to drive new business models and transform workplaces, the focus has subtly shifted from early and mid-career professionals to senior leaders – those with 12-15 years of experience and more –- who are looking to upskill. The main question on CXOs' minds is how to align their longterm business strategy with today's AI capabilities, say experts.
Techfest - Wikipedia
Techfest is the annual science and technology festival of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.[1] It also refers to the independent body of students who organize this event along with many other social initiatives and outreach programs around the year. Techfest is known for hosting a variety of events that include competitions, exhibitions, lectures as well as workshops. Started in 1998 with the aim of providing a platform for the Indian student community to develop and showcase their technical prowess, it has now grown into Asia's Largest Science and Technology Festival[2] with a footfall of 1.75 lakhs in its latest edition.[3][4][5] The activities culminate in a grand three-day event in the campus of IIT Bombay which attracts people from all over the World, including students, academia, corporates and the general public.[6] The very first edition of Techfest was in 1998. The underlying spirit of Techfest was "to promote technology and scientific thinking and innovation" a motto that has been followed by every Techfest since. Techfest '98 also set the broad outlines of Techfest in the form of competitions, lectures, workshops, and exhibitions which went on to become a standard feature at every Techfest. Entrepreneurship also made an appearance in the 1999 and 2000 editions. Technoholix--Techfest in the Dark, showcasing technological entertainment at the end of each day as well as the hub of on the spot activities, made their debut during these years. Techfest 2001-2002 saw the incorporation of IIT Bombay's department oriented events like Yantriki, Chemsplash and Last Straw. Students from G H Raisoni College of Engineering got the Engineering Excellence Award for best design.
