Ensemble approach for natural language question answering problem

Machine comprehension, answering a question depending on a given context paragraph is a typical task of Natural Language Understanding. It requires to model complex dependencies existing between the question and the context paragraph. There are many neural network models attempting to solve the problem of question answering. The best models have been selected, studied and compared with each other. All the selected models are based on the neural attention mechanism concept. Additionally, studies on a SQUAD dataset were performed. The subsets of queries were extracted and then each model was analyzed how it deals with specific group of queries. Based on these three model ensemble model was created and tested on SQUAD dataset. It outperforms the best Mnemonic Reader model.

Elon Musk's Starhopper has taken another major step toward reality. The prototype ship blasted off from the Boca Chica, Texas test site on Tuesday evening just after 5 p.m. local time (6 p.m. ET) for its 150-meter untethered flight test. While it was at first enshrouded in smoke and flames, the water tower-shaped vehicle emerged moments later to be seen rising high above the ground without any obstructions to the view. The successful test comes after SpaceX was forced to abandon its attempt on Monday to allow for a last-minute inspection of the craft's igniters. Musk tweeted his congratulations to the SpaceX team not long after Tuesday's achievement wrapped up.


Ex-Google engineer charged with stealing self-driving car technology

The judge is recommending a criminal probe be opened up into the technology exchange to Uber. Former Google engineer Anthony Levandowski, who quit the tech giant before merging his own startup with Uber, has been charged with stealing Google's self-driving car trade secrets, federal prosecutors announced Tuesday. Levandowski, 39, who served as the head of Uber's self-driving project, had been named in a 2017 lawsuit brought against Uber by Waymo, Google's former self-driving car unit, claiming that the popular ride-sharing app stole trade secrets from Google. That suit ended in a settlement of $245 million. At the time, federal judge William Alsup, who was overseeing the case, recommended criminal charges against Levandowski.

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Roaming peacocks, meandering tourists and curbside bushes were all causing headaches this week for operators of one of the first autonomous bus shuttle services to hit public roads in Singapore. Passengers found themselves almost outnumbered by bus stewards checking their seatbelts were tightly fastened as ST Engineering began testing four vehicles in the coastal district of Sentosa. Singapore, ranked second behind the United States in its preparedness for wide-scale driverless transport in a recent KPMG report, plans to deploy autonomous buses in three districts of the island from 2022. The latest trial, due to run until November 15, is being closely watched by tech firms and automakers around the world following a series of mishaps. "Public safety is our top priority," Singapore's transport ministry said in a joint statement with ST Engineering.
