AI Delivery Robots for E-commerce Industry - The Latest Tech News
Considering the way Artificial Intelligence is influencing the IT industry, the day is not far when we will receive our delivery packages by robots. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is delivering commendable results in the field of automation. Right from Siri to self-driven cars, AI has helped not only to cut down the mundane manual processes but also has redefined these tasks in a more engaging, attractive and innovative way. As per Markets and Markets Research, the AI market is expected to reach $190 billion by 2025. Needless to say, most of the companies will compete in this race to stand first.

Opinion Social robotics will bring about a revolution
In July 2017, two robots, Sophia and Han, made history. At the RISE technology conference in Hong Kong, they went on stage to "debate" the future of humanity with each other. In the course of the debate, they cracked jokes, talked about drone armies taking over the world, discussed ethics in robots and humans, and if it was better to be rich or famous. Sophia was further introduced at the United Nations and was even granted Saudi Arabian citizenship. She is the first humanoid robot to have a nationality.
Will 3D printing revolutionise the construction industry?
Squeezing a house through a nozzle, like a pรขtissier pumping fondant cream from a piping bag, may not be everyone's idea of cutting-edge construction. The glitzy emirate aspires to have a quarter of all new buildings constructed via 3D printing by 2030. Emaar, one of the Arabian Gulf's leading property developers, is heralding its nascent Arabian Ranches III residential project as offering Dubai's first such dwelling. Fabricating a three-dimensional model, or prototype, from a computer-aided design by adding successive layers of material is now standard practice in many industries, ranging from aerospace and architecture to medicine and high-end manufacturing. McKinsey, the consultancy, estimates the technique could have an annual economic impact worth $550 billion by 2025.
Feeding the big data and artificial intelligence 'information-appetite'
The promise of big data and artificial intelligence is everywhere. One almost gets the impression that there is no problem that cannot be solved with these new technologies. The answer to everything is'big data and artificial intelligence'. This article was originally published in Smart Energy International 4-2019. "Most Of Your Projections Are Wrong" - Jack Ma, Elon Musk Square Off Over Future Of AI
The potential for AI to augment human behavior, or possibly even supplant humans entirely, is something that both fascinates and terrifies Elon Musk. In interviews over the years, Musk hasn't been shy about sharing his dystopian vision of a Terminator-like scenario where machines hunt down and destroy their creators. He has insisted that AI is a much greater risk to the US than North Korea. He even founded a company called Neuralink with the aim of linking human brains and computers - the only way for the human race to keep up with the onward march of AI, he insists. And given Musk's similarly well-documented hostility toward anybody who doubts or disagrees with him, it's hardly a surprise that the Tesla founder squared off with Alibaba founder Jack Ma at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai on Thursday.
Global Big Data Conference
The buzz around autonomous vehicles is continuing to snowball as global tech majors are upping their game to take advantage of the burgeoning prospects. Per an Allied Market Research report, the global autonomous vehicle market is expected to reach $556.67 billion by 2026 at a CAGR of 39.47% from 2019 to 2026. The long-term prospects are much more alluring. Per a McKinsey research autonomous vehicles are expected to contribute about 66% of the passenger-kilometers traveled in 2040, generating $1.1 trillion in mobility services revenues and $0.9 trillion in sales that year. The United States is leveraging its first mover advantage in the autonomous vehicle market.
Software Ate The World, Now AI Is Eating Software
Marc Andreessen famously said that "Software is eating the world" and everyone gushed into the room. This was as much a writing on the wall for many traditional enterprises as it was wonderful news for the software industry. Still no one actually understood what he meant. "Today, the world's largest bookseller, Amazon, is a software company -- its core capability is its amazing software engine for selling virtually everything online, no retail stores necessary. On top of that, while Borders was thrashing in the throes of impending bankruptcy, Amazon rearranged its web site to promote its Kindle digital books over physical books for the first time. Now even the books themselves are software."
Probability Distributions in Data Science
Having a sound statistical background can be greatly beneficial in the daily life of a Data Scientist. Every time we start exploring a new dataset, we need to first do an Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) in order to get a feeling of what are the main characteristics of certain features. If we are able to understand if it's present any pattern in the data distribution, we can then tailor-made our Machine Learning models to best fit our case study. In this way, we will be able to get a better result in less time (reducing the optimisation steps). In fact, some Machine Learning models are designed to work best under some distribution assumptions.
