AI in cybersecurity: 1 in 3 experts say humans won't be needed in a decade
A third of cybersecurity experts believe the rise of AI in cybersecurity will see the end of humans making security decisions within a decade, according to research published today. In a survey cybersecurity experts conducted at Info Security Europe by One Identity, 33% of cybersecurity experts said that they believed there would be no need for humans to be involved in the cybersecurity decision making process in less than ten years. A further 13% said they thought this would happen in more than ten years, while 14% said they thought there was already no need for humans to make such decisions thanks to the rise of AI in cybersecurity. Only 40% said they thought that AI would never become advanced enough to remove humans from the cybersecurity decision making process. The use of artificial intelligence in the cybersecurity space has seen rapid proliferation in recent years, particularly to automate often mundane and repetitive processes within the space, or to lighten the load of cybersecurity researchers, who are in short supply in a growing field.

Our team at MyHeritage took on a complex project: extracting individual pictures, names, and ages from hundreds of thousands of yearbooks, structuring the data, and creating a searchable index that covers the majority of US schools between the years 1890โ1979 -- more than 290 million individuals. Elon Musk's 'Brain Chip' Could Be Suicide of the Mind, Says Scientist
Elon Musk says merging biological intelligence and artificial intelligence is important to help human beings deal with the AI apocalypse. Almost exactly a month ago, Elon Musk introduced a room of engineers and curious consumers to a sci-fi-sounding invention made by his neurotechnology startup Neuralink: an implantable "brain chip" that will "merge biological intelligence with machine intelligence." Per Musk's description, this chip will be installed in a person's brain by drilling a two-millimeter hole in the skull. "The interface to the chip is wireless, so you have no wires poking out of your head," he assured. Musk argued that such devices will help humans deal with the so-called AI apocalypse, a scenario in which artificial intelligence outpaces human intelligence and takes control of the planet away from the human species.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions Develops Proprietary System to Interpret Vehicle Safety Features for Insurance Industry
LexisNexis Risk Solutions, the leading data, analytics and technology provider for the insurance industry, has created the first purpose-driven Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and vehicle safety classification system for auto insurance pricing and claims analysis. The new classification system helps insurers break down barriers through access to relevant data and insights from automakers' ADAS features. It will be leveraged in the soon-to-be released LexisNexis Vehicle Build, a solution that identifies and categorizes specific ADAS equipped features at the VIN-level, enabling insurers to establish the differences in risk profile associated with these features. Among new U.S. vehicles, 92.7% have at least one ADAS feature available as an option, according to SBD Automotive.
