The United States Department of Energy (DOE) has given three institutions a $5.5 million grant to collectively find solutions to some of the most challenging problems in artificial intelligence (AI) today. In his keynote at Mobile World Congress Los Angeles, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang detailed how Aerial, running on the NVIDIA EGX platform, enables AI services and immersive content at the edge of 5G networks. Last week, I went to see the 40th anniversary re-release of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (or ST:TMP for short).
