Don't Waste Your Money on Penny Stocks, These 3 Stocks Are Better Buys The Motley Fool
Some investors are looking for a fast-track to building wealth, and that pursuit sometimes leads them toward penny stocks. After all, these stocks look inexpensive, and the payoff could be huge, right? The problem with this investing strategy, if you can call it that, is that penny stocks are notoriously volatile, and their businesses are often murkier than those of other publicly traded companies. And most importantly, you're far more likely to lose money buying a penny stock than buying stocks in good companies and holding onto it for years. If you're tempted to go the penny stock route, reconsider that decision by first looking at how Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), and Square (NYSE:SQ) have generated solid long-term returns for their investors and set themselves up for future growth. Microsoft may seem like a boring tech stalwart, but the company is a leader in emerging tech trends, including cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
First draft for AI ethics framed
A six-pronged draft for the country's first artificial intelligence (AI) ethics guidelines has been rolled out, says the Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry. The DES Ministry worked with Microsoft Thailand and Mahidol University on the guidelines. Thailand is the first country in Asia-Pacific where Microsoft contributed to crafting the guidelines as an adviser. The first principle indicates AI technology must cater to the country's competitiveness and sustainable development. The technology also needs to comply with the law and international standards.
Technologies That Are Changing the Future of Work: Artificial Intelligence
Imagine your workplace ten years from now. Chances are it'll be very different from today thanks to the rapid technological change that are changing the nature of work, the dynamics of the workforce, and the notion of the workplace. To stay relevant and competitive, you need to understand the impact of emerging technologies on the future of work. Once a recurrent theme in science fiction books and movies, the era of automation has well and truly arrived--and it is not just in the form of walking and talking robots. The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has pervaded industries ranging from healthcare, retail, transport to food and beverage.

Every HR Leader Needs AI On Their Career Roadmap - Part I
Bottom Line: Every Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) needs a career roadmap that prioritizes building strong AI digital dexterity skills and continual upskilling, two key skills that are defining the future of talent management. One of my favorite quotes is from Alvin Toffler, author of Future Shock, who wrote: "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn." It's prescient for CHROs who need to start taking action to strengthen their AI-based digital dexterity skills and define their upskilling roadmap. Alvin Toffler's quote also speaks to the challenge every CHRO faces today of creating programs at scale that help workers learn, unlearn and relearn valuable AI, machine learning, and digital skills. CHROs and employees who participate in upskilling programs are learning more about how AI and machine learning can help them in their jobs.

Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) Giving the U.S. Battlefield Advantages
As artificial intelligence (AI) works its way into everyday life via industries like healthcare, finance and entertainment, governments around the world are increasingly investing in another of its applications: autonomous weapons systems. Many are already developing programs and technologies that they hope will give them an edge over their adversaries, creating mounting pressure for others to follow suite. These steps appear to mark the early stages of an AI arms race causing the development of military AI to accelerate worldwide. There are currently seven key players in the growing AI arms arena: the United States, China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Israel, and South Korea. The U.S. of course is among the most active.

Making a better future
Why are walls always straight? Why does it cost so much to build them? And why do big construction projects so often run late? Construction has always been a conservative industry, used to doing things how they have always been done. But a new wave of innovation is coming, which will change what buildings look like, how they are made, and who wins in the new era of the construction industry.
