Tesla Motors (TSLA) Announcement: Full Autonomy-Capable Hardware In All Cars Being Produced Now
In an announcement delayed by three days, Tesla Motors said Wednesday all its vehicles now in production -- including the upcoming Model 3 -- will have hardware that is capable of fully-autonomous driving. According to Tesla, full self-driving capability will provide "a safety level substantially greater than that of a human driver." So what does this new full autonomy-capable hardware consist of? First, there are cameras and sensors to collect data. A complete 360-degree vision is provided by eight cameras around the car that have a range of up to 250 meters.

This robot can entertain children for hours without any adult supervision
The three-foot tall robot with "wide eyes, working fingers, pastel trimming, and a touchscreen tablet on its chest" showed off its babysitting skills at an annual robotics event in San Jose, California, the Guardian reported. The iPal is designed to act like a companion for children: the robot talks to them, answering general-knowledge questions like "Why is the sun hot?," and entertaining them with song, dance, and games, such as rock-paper-scissors. Jiping Wang, founder of Avatar Mind, which created the iPal, told the Guardian that the robot can keep children between the ages of 3 and 8 occupied for "a couple of hours" without adult supervision, touting it as a perfect solution to fill the time between when children return home from school and when parents get back from work. Madeline Duva, an adviser to Avatar Mind, clarified that "it cannot replace a babysitter." But, she said, in cases where you do need to occupy a child for a brief period while you, say, run to the store for some laundry detergent, the iPal is better than devices like the iPad, which are far less interactive than the robot.

Artificial Intelligence could double the annual economic growth rate in Finalnd and Sweden by 2035, according to a study made by Accenture. By changing the nature of people's work as well as changing the relationship between humans and machines, the labor productivity in Finland and Sweden could increase by 36% and 37% respectively, in Accenture's estimation. The use of Artificial Intelligence would unlock time for workers to focus on other tasks. "Artificial Intelligence Applications can revolutionize the business in ways not seen since the information technology breakthrough. Even now artificial intelligence, cloud computing, advanced analytics, and other technologies impact on the work of people and machines," Tomas Nyström, Accenture's Chief Technology Officer, says in a statement, reports Talous Sanomat.

Thousands of gay and bisexual men convicted of now-abolished sexual offences are to receive posthumous pardons, the government has announced. It will mean formal pardons for those convicted over consensual same-sex relationships before homosexuality was decriminalised in the UK. Justice Minister Sam Gyimah said the move was "hugely important". It honours a government commitment made after World War Two code-breaker Alan Turing was pardoned in 2013. Under the move - dubbed "Turing law" - deceased people who were convicted of sexual acts that are no longer deemed criminal will receive an automatic pardon.

In this work we extend to the interval-valued setting the notion of an overlap functions and we discuss a method which makes use of interval-valued overlap functions for constructing OWA operators with interval-valued weights. . They have also been the origin of rich theoretical studies, as, for instance, the works by Bedregal et al. [3, 7], Dimuro et al. [28], Reiser et al. [48] and the recent works by Zywica et al. [64] and Takác [55]. From the point of view of applications, interval-valued fuzzy sets are a suitable tool to represent uncertain or incomplete information.
