Teenagers require 'very little skill' to become cybercriminals, report reveals

"Very little skill" is required to become a cyber criminal, according to a new report. Research from the National Crime Agency (NCA) claims that free "off-the-shelf" hacking tools, online tutorials and video guides are making it increasingly easy for young people become involved in cyber crime. The report also says that, while financial gain is a key incentive for some offenders, it isn't always key, with many instead motivated by a "sense of accomplishment" and building a reputation. The average age of the young offenders involved in the study was 17, and the NCA says they're "unlikely" to commit more traditional crimes, such as theft, fraud and sexual offences. The I.F.O. is fuelled by eight electric engines, which is able to push the flying object to an estimated top speed of about 120mph.

The field of transportation is undergoing a seismic shift with the introduction of autonomous driving -- or computer-driven cars. Computer vision scientist and Mobileye co-founder Amnon Shashua PhD '93 described the challenges associated with this technology in a talk last month hosted by MIT's Center for Brains, Minds and Machines (CBMM). The technology behind computer driven cars, Shashua explained, involves machine learning and the latest cutting-edge artificial intelligence algorithms in three major areas: sensing, planning, and mapping. Shashua earned his PhD in the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT's Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences in 1993. He received postdoctoral training under Professor Tomaso Poggio at MIT's Center for Biological and Computational Learning (now CBMM) and currently holds the Sachs Chair in computer science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

WhatsApp: Admins of groups could be sent to prison over messages sent in their chats

The administrators of group WhatsApp chats could be sent to prison, according to a new law. People who run accounts that see people share false or misleading information could be sent to prison under new rules meant to stop the spread of fake news in India. The new rules hold the admin of any group accountable for what is posted inside of it. Both Facebook and WhatsApp allow one or more users to manage groups, deciding who is let into it and changing its name. Finally, electrodes can fully defile the neuron and actually penetrate through the membrane, which is called sharp electrode recording. If the tip is sharp enough, this won't destroy the cell--the membrane will actually seal around the electrode, making it very easy to stimulate the neuron or record the voltage difference between the inside and outside of the neuron. But this is a short-term technique--a punctured neuron won't survive long.
