Disturbing images have emerged from inside a Chinese sex robot factory where people can order custom-made AI dolls, some of which are the size of children. The AI dolls, which cost on average $3,100 (£2,300), have soft and elastic skin made from rubbery plastic that contain less oil content than normal plastics and reportedly do not smell. The plastic is heated to 37 C to reflect a human's body temperature and developers say these perverse dolls have body sensors that also make them feel human-like. The company that makes the robots, Shenzhen Atall Intelligent Robot Technology which is based in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, says most of its clients are 40 to 50-year-old men that come from Europe and the US. National Institution for Transforming India (Niti Aayog), formed via a resolution of the Union Cabinet on January 1, 2015, on Wednesday inked a pact with Swiss group ABB's Indian subsidiary ABB India to help the country reap the benefits of latest technologies including robotics and artificial intelligence towards realizing the government's ambitious vision of'Make in India' & 'Digital India' concept. The duo signed a statement of intent (SoI) and as per it, the NITI Aayog will work with ABB across various sectors to suggest solutions for digitalization, incorporating the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI technologies. They will also work with ministries, solicit feedback for areas critical to them and discuss solutions using industrial automation, and digitalization technologies. This tie up will also cover the fast growing segment of electric mobility. Sony Corp.'s new chief executive officer is interested in taking the electronics maker in an entirely new direction: objects that move. Kenichiro Yoshida, who took over in April, said on Wednesday that he's always wanted to work on "moving objects," adding that it's far too early to say whether Sony will enter the space. "Through our semiconductors, we're actually already a company that helps to power things that move and, to be honest, I kind of want to create things that move," Yoshida told reporters at a roundtable interview in Tokyo. "Ever since I was the chief financial officer, I asked whether we can work on a golf cart or a Roomba (IRobot's robot vacuum cleaner)." While Sony does in fact have transport-related projects, such as its SC-1 shuttle concept and a taxi-hailing alliance announced earlier this year, the Tokyo-based company has never expressed any interest manufacturing gadgets that can ferry people or are autonomous.
