Alibaba Group Holding, China's biggest e-commerce player, has launched a concept clothing store in Hong Kong that uses artificial intelligence technology and algorithmic data analysis to provide outfit suggestions. The outlet will stay open until June 7. But after a delayed launch, developers Epic have announced that the mode will be removed from the game on 12 July. Indian IT industry apex body Nasscom on Thursday opened a Centre of Excellence for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Bengaluru. The centre was set up in collaboration with the Karnataka government with an aim to nurture innovation in emerging disruptive technologies such as AI and to leverage the power of data science, Nasscom said in a statement here. "Karnataka has led the Information Technology (IT) revolution in India and the state has also been fostering entrepreneurial spirit. The centre is the step required to propel the data sciences and AI to make India as a destination for global product solutions," Nasscom President Debjani Ghosh said on the occasion. Nasscom has also signed an agreement with government think-tank NITI Aayog to collaboratively foster applied research, accelerating adoptions and ethics, privacy and security, the statement added.

Northern California weather is pretty temperate. You can get by with a lack of central air conditioning, which is good news since nary a single place I've lived in the Bay Area has had it. But in the summer, there are sweltering days where the heat feels inescapable. While I don't wish I had central air, I do wish I had something better than a box fan for those hottest weeks, something that would follow me around while perfectly streaming air at my dew-drenched face.
