Seven Bank will equip its ATMs with facial recognition technology, possibly starting this fall, as a way to identify customers and let people open bank accounts on the spot, sources said Monday. The new ATM operated by Seven Bank, a unit of retailer Seven & I Holdings Co., would be able to confirm the identity of someone wanting to set up a bank account in a few seconds by scanning a photo ID and taking a picture through a high-precision camera, they said. At present, a person needs to send a copy of an identification document, such as a driver's license, to open a bank account. Seven Bank is also considering offering services to open accounts via the new ATMs for other online banks and regional banks, they said. Seven Bank has over 24,000 ATMs at convenience stores, public facilities and elsewhere nationwide.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to introduce Artificial Intelligence(AI) course as an elective subject in Classes 8,9, and 10 from the next academic session. The decision was taken in the recently held meeting of Board's governing body. By launching AI as a skill subject, Board's vision is to make the students well-versed in technologies and enhance their technical know-how. According to officials, The subject AI will be one of the optional subjects on the vocational side. The idea of introducing AI as a school subject was originated in a session held at the NITI Ayog, from where the Board began to explore the concept.

Chinese electric car startup Byton made an ambitious debut at the Consumer Electronics Show last year when it unveiled its futuristic'Smart Intuitive Vehicle,' which boasts a nearly 50-inch dashboard display. And this year in Las Vegas, the firm is taking things up another notch. Byton kicked off CES 2019 by revealing the souped up interior of its M-Byte vehicle, complete with additional displays and an improved user interface, allowing users to interact with the vehicle through gesture and voice commands. All in all, M-Byte has five screens, each measuring at least the length of a standard tablet – including one positioned in the middle of the steering wheel. Byton also showed off its K-Byte concept electric sedan, which sports a digital grille and will launch with autonomous capabilities.
