Stocks open lower on Wall Street as retailers and healthcare companies fall

Stocks opened slightly lower on Wall Street on Thursday, led by declines in retailers and healthcare companies. Bed Bath & Beyond fell 5% in early trading. Johnson & Johnson was down 1%. Software company Red Hat sank 12% after releasing a weak forecast and announcing the departure of its chief financial officer. The Dow Jones industrial average slipped 27 points, or 0.2%, to 19,914.
