In this article, I will discuss several resources that can help you master the foundations of data science. In the modern age of information technology, there is an enormous amount of free resources for data science self-study. As a matter of fact, you can design your own data science curriculum from the innumerable amount of available resources. The rising demand for data science practitioners has given rise to a proliferation of massive open online courses (MOOC). If you are going to be taking one of these courses, keep in mind that some MOOCs are 100% free, while some do require you to pay a subscription fee (it could range anywhere from $50 to $200 per course or more, varies from platforms to platforms).

Recently, I actively started looking for a job change to Data science, I don't have any formal education like Masters or Ph.D. background in AI/Machine Learning. I started learning it completely out of my own interest (not just because of hype). It was one of the challenging tracks to opt-in especially if you are working simultaneously on some other technology. I started my journey by enrolling myself in many MOOCs(Massive Open Online Courses) and started reading multiple blogs. It slowly started making sense.
Online learning platform EdX; Google's open-source machine learning platform, TensorFlow; and HarvardX have put together a certification program to train tech professionals to work with tiny machine learning (TinyML). The program is meant to support this specialized segment of development that can include edge computing with smart devices, wildlife tracking, and other sensors. The program comprises a series of courses that can be completed at home. The idea is to scale machine learning to function in small form, edge devices that use far less power than desktop computers and have limited storage and processing capacity, says Anant Agarwal, CEO of EdX, which was founded by MIT and Harvard. That can include devices that operate on batteries, such as remote sensors, microphones, and cameras set up in the wilderness.
The Indian Institute of Technology-Roorkee (IIT-R) in partnership with leading online learning platform Coursera on Thursday launched two new online certificate programmes for professionals looking to build skills in data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The six-month certificate programme in AI and ML will consist of video lectures, hands-on learning opportunities, team projects, tutorials and workshops. The programme will also teach classical ML techniques and provide hands-on programming experience with'Tensorflow' software for model building, robust ML production and powerful experimentation. The certificate programme in data science will help professionals build skills in data science, machine learning, critical thinking, data collection, data visualization and data management. "We are delighted to partner with Coursera to help fulfil the goal of inclusive education of the New Education Policy," Professor Ajit K Chaturvedi, Director, IIT Roorkee, said in a statement.
