Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has said the festival has booked its headliners for next summer - but scotched rumours that Madonna will be among them. Asked about the 2027 line-up and the speculation that the Queen of Pop would make her Glastonbury debut, Eavis told Katie Razzall on BBC Radio 4's PM programme: No, it's definitely not Madonna, I'll tell you that. But we have got three [other] headliners and we're very excited about it - it's all coming together really well, Eavis added. And when asked about the possibility of a performance from Taylor Swift, Eavis laughed and said she didn't want to discuss the line-up any more. Hollywood actress and singer Selena Gomez is being sued by five investors who backed Wondermind Global, a mental health business she founded with her mother. Shareholders are claiming the pop star failed to fulfil promises that she would be actively building the brand, saying her abject dereliction of her duties has left the company in a state of financial calamity. The lawsuit seeks to recover around $1.2m (£890,000) it claims was invested as well as costs and damages. The BBC has contacted Wondermind and Gomez's representatives for comment. Gomez, who rose to fame as a child actor before moving into pop music, set up the mental health platform five years ago with her mother Mandy Teefey and businesswoman Daniella Pierson.

It's no secret that Spotify is the dominant player in the music streaming market, with 293 million paid subscribers and 761 million monthly active users across both paid and free tiers. Along with massive market dominance has come a fair bit of controversy in recent years. As the biggest music-streaming platform, Spotify is usually the first mentioned in the discussion about whether artists are fairly compensated for their work. The math around that question is obvious -- buying a digital album outright typically costs between 10 and 15 depending on where you buy it, while a Spotify Premium subscription costs 13 a month in the US. Fair pay is far from the only drama surrounding Spotify, though.

Spotify has been teasing its upcoming AI tool that lets fans make covers and remixes for a while now, even unveiling a partnership with Universal Music Group. The streamer just announced another partner for the endeavor, the indie music publishing company Kobalt. This company publishes songs by a wide range of musicians, from Phoebe Bridgers to the post-punk outfit IDLES. Kobalt artists will soon be able to opt-in to Spotify's upcoming platform that lets fans repurpose songs to make remixes and covers. This is, of course, done via a suite of AI tools.
