Artificial intelligence that can write code from scratch is coming! - Gearrice

While GitHub and other companies offer neural networks to aid the code writing process, Google is quietly moving forward. It turned out that the search giant is working on an artificial intelligence tool that can write programs on its own, as well as complete, fix and improve the code it writes. The project, called Pitchfork, is currently known to be developed by the Google Labs division, but previously worked on the Google X research team. Sources close to software giant Google say the algorithm can learn programming styles and write code based on that knowledge. It was originally created to update the code base of the Python programming language to new versions without human intervention.

How To Use Docker To Run Multiple ROS Distributions on the Same Machine

The Robot Operating System (ROS) is widely used in Robotics. But, the different available ROS distributions can lead to software version conflicts. For example, Ubuntu 18.04 uses ROS Melodic, based on Python 2.7. Ubuntu 20.04 uses ROS Noetic, which is based on Python 3. Oftentimes, our ROS master needs to be an older ROS version to have specific hardware driver support. In this article, I will show you how to keep a ROS Melodic master together with more recent ROS distributions on the same machine.

Installing TensorFlow with GPU support on Windows WSL in 2022

TensorFlow is phasing out GPU support for native windows. Now, to use TensorFlow on GPU you'll need to install it via WSL. Caution: The current TensorFlow version, 2.10, is the last TensorFlow release that will support GPU on native-Windows. Starting with TensorFlow 2.11, you will need to install TensorFlow in WSL2, or install tensorflow_cpu and, optionally, try the TensorFlow-DirectML-Plugin WSL can a be great way to jump into python development without having to dual boot windows with a Linux distribution (most commonly, Ubuntu), but the RAM for WSL is capped at 50% of total system RAM. This can be changed in the WSL config file, but you would still need to have enough RAM to run both WSL and regular Windows smoothly.

Cybersecurity, cloud, C , or creativity? These are the skills that will be most in demand in 2023

The demand for digital skills has accelerated considerably in 2022. As more companies lean on technology to innovate and future-proof their business, the pool of available software talent capable of achieving these goals continues to shrink. While this has created considerable hiring challenges for companies, skilled technology professionals have found themselves in a very favourable position when it comes to job opportunities and negotiating power. Looking ahead to 2023, the picture remains much the same. While the risk of a recession will prompt more companies to slow or freeze hiring in an effort to cut costs or'streamline', the effect on technology hiring will be comparatively small.
