The Suki Speech Service, referred to by the company as S3, makes Suki's voice assistant faster, more accurate, and flexible enough that it could be used by professionals outside of the healthcare sector. Suki's current voice assistant is built to reduce the amount of time and energy doctors spend on administrative tasks and records. The voice assistant records, transcribes, and organizes a doctor's conversations with a patients and any notes on the case. Google is making it easier to connect with more people in video calls and meetings using its Nest Hub Max video display device. The Nest Hub Max ($229), released about 10 months ago, served as Google's entry in the smart video display competition with Amazon's Echo Show and Facebook's Portal. An update, out now, lets you make group calls of up to 32 with the Google Duo app – and up to 100 in the Google Meet app. Previously, Nest Hub Max get-togethers maxed out at person to person calls using Google Duo. You create your groups in the Google Duo app (available for Android and iOS) and then tell the Hub Max, "Hey, Google, make a group call."
Amazon has released its first Echo device for use outside of the house, allowing users to take Alexa in their car. The company revealed the device in 2018 but it has finally come to customers in the UK and Ireland. Echo Auto plugs into a car's 12V power outlet or built-in USB port and connects to the in-car stereo via either audio jack cable or Bluetooth to enable the use of voice assistant Alexa inside the vehicle. Users are then able to use Alexa voice commands to control music, check the news, make phone calls or check their schedule without taking hands off the wheel or eyes off the road. The device gets internet connectivity by connecting to a user's smartphone and the Alexa app and using its existing data plan.

But a new voice assistant launched by the BBC will learn UK regional accents to ensure you don't have to attempt to alter your accent in order to be understood. That voice assistant is called Beeb -- a nod to the BBC's nickname -- and it's just been released in beta form for a select group of users to try out. Those users are UK-based members of Microsoft's Windows Insider Programme, a group of early adopters who test new tech and suggest improvements. Beeb can play BBC radio, music, podcasts, news, and weather.
