Alexa's Auto Mode turns your phone into a 'driver-friendly' display

Amazon wants to make it safer and easier to use your phone while you're in the car. The feature turns your phone into a "driver-friendly" display with large touch targets and easy-to-read visuals. Auto Mode keeps things simple with four screens: Home, Navigation, Communicate and Play. The home screen includes shortcuts to pause or play your media source, navigate to home or work and make a call. The Navigation screen lets you create shortcuts for favorite locations, or if you ask Alexa to find someplace new, Auto Mode will display a simplified results list with only the most relevant info.

Hyperparameter Tuning to Reduce Overfitting -- LightGBM

Easy access to an enormous amount of data and high computing power has made it possible to design complex machine learning algorithms. As the model complexity increases, the amount of data required to train it also increases. Data is not the only factor in the performance of a model. Complex models have many hyperparameters that need to be correctly adjusted or tuned in order to make the most out of them. For instance, the performance of XGBoost and LightGBM highly depend on the hyperparameter tuning.

Automation & Artificial Intelligence Revolutionize the Cannabis Industry

To some, artificial intelligence (AI) may be categorized next to the likes of Bitcoin and blockchain: it's just another techie buzz word. For others, artificial intelligence could conjure up images of sentient robots hellbent on world domination. While artificial intelligence, in some ways, can be those things, what it is in practice often looks much different. The artificial intelligence that many people talk about today can also be referred to as machine learning, or the process by which software takes in data, learns patterns, and makes whatever adjustments it needs to make to achieve its goal. "Every industry is being shaken up by AI these days," explained Brad Newkirk, strategic leader at LumiGrow, a smart lighting company working to develop AI solutions for cannabis cultivators.
