Three Popular Machine Learning Methods

#artificialintelligence

Let's move onto the different types of machine learning. The first type of machine learning we will talk about is supervised learning. In this method, you take a sample from the larger data set. This sample is used to represent the correlation and relationships that can be inferred from the data. Basically, it will try to summarize different cases in order to learn what predictions can be made or how to classify data.

How low-code development could boost AI adoption

#artificialintelligence

Every company may want to put artificial intelligence to work, but most companies aren't blessed with the ability to hire battalions of data scientists–nor is that necessarily the right approach. As Gartner analyst Svetlana Sicular once argued, often the best possible data scientist is the person you already employ who knows your data and simply needs help figuring out how to unlock it. For many business line owners, it's this kind of approach that may make the most sense, as they seek to be smarter with the data they already have. One company working to enable this vision is Cambridge, Massachusetts-based machine learning startup Akkio, which pairs AI with low code in an attempt to democratize AI. I caught up with company co-founder and COO Jon Reilly to learn more.

How AI gave New Life to Global Sports

India lost two early wickets in the first session of the initial innings of the ICC Test Championship Final. There is already much history about him and England. This History was enough to create the hype around him. On the first note, the ground was the same where India loses their debut world cup winning chance in the captaincy of Kohli. Southampton has seen India losing enough times.

With post-pandemic AI, we've now stepped into the Age of Acceleration

#artificialintelligence

All the sessions from Transform 2021 are available on-demand now. As the IBM Watson experience shows, the path to AI success is fraught with challenges. Yet overall, it has been a very good year for AI and the companies developing it. So much so that Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, in a recent podcast recorded by BBC, says: "I view [AI] as a very profound enabling technology. If you think about fire or electricity or the internet, it is like that, but I think even more profound."

Is Artificial Intelligence the Biggest Threat to Humanity? -- Sentient Machines

#artificialintelligence

The creators of these films imagine a world where humans have lost control of the technology they developed and must fight for survival of the human species. It could also be suggested the writers and directors of these films are predicting a world where these things happen. After all, many notable figures in the world of tech such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and even Stephen Hawking have all made warnings against the potential consequences of AI. But how accurate is the silver screen's depiction and are the fears of my friend based off of these films warranted? Is AI going rogue, building a robot army and attempting to eradicate humans as likely as finding a dead body on top of a lift or being attacked by a giant shark off the Isle of Wight?

An exploration into Natural Language Processing with the Universal Studios dataset

#artificialintelligence

I have not posted a lot about Natural Language Processing, NLP, because there are not a lot of data science competitions concerning this genre of machine learning. I have, however, discovered that Kaggle, the premier data science website, does have text based datasets in their dataset section of their website.

Five Reasons How AI Will Revolutionize Psychiatry and Fields of Psychology

#artificialintelligence

Psychology has seen a drastic revolution in the present times. Some of the psychology modules have integrated modern technologies to improve precision and accuracy in identifying disorders. Thus, here are the five reasons how AI will revolutionize psychiatry and fields of psychology. Predictive models, behavioral statistics, and improved user experience are all the boosts given by applied sciences to assist psychiatry. There are already some applications of AI in psychiatry, and many doctors believe that data training models in various systems can reduce the responsibilities and work.

Hit the Road With These Travel-Planning Apps and Tricks

WIRED

Making travel plans is tricky even in the best of times, but the pandemic and its lingering effects have made things even more complicated. Whether you're going halfway around the world or planning a trip much closer to home, your smartphone can be a huge help. You probably already use your phone to get you from A to B as quickly as possible, but Google Maps, Apple Maps, and other apps can do much more than this--they can put together a proper itinerary for your next excursion, storing longer lists of places that you want to tick off on your travels. Planning ahead means that time away from home--whether a vacation, business trip, or anything else--is much better organized and less stressful. You can make sure you visit everywhere you want to visit in the time you have available.
