GrAI Matter Labs Unveils Life-Ready AI with GrAI VIP at GLOBAL INDUSTRIE

#artificialintelligence

GrAI Matter Labs, a pioneer of brain-inspired ultra-low latency computing, announced that it will be unveiling GrAI VIP, a full-stack AI system-on-chip platform, to partners and customers at GLOBAL INDUSTRIE, May 17th-20th, 2022. "GML's'Life-Ready' AI provides solutions that here-to-fore were simply impossible at such low footprint and power." At GLOBAL INDUSTRIE, GML will demonstrate a live event-based, brain-inspired computing solution for purpose-built, efficient inference in a real-world application of robotics using the Life-Ready GrAI VIP chip. GrAI VIP is an industry-first near-sensor AI solution with 16-bit floating-point capability that achieves best-in-class performance with a low-power envelope. It opens up unparalleled applications that rely on understanding and transformations of signals produced by a multitude of sensors at the edge in Robotics, AR/VR, Smart Homes, Infotainment in automobiles and more.

EETimes - Chip Startups for AI in Edge and Endpoint Applications

#artificialintelligence

As the industry grapples with the best way to accelerate AI performance to keep up with requirements from cutting-edge neural networks, there are many startup companies springing up around the world with new ideas about how this is best achieved. This sector is attracting a lot of venture capital funding and the result is a sector rich in not just cash, but in novel ideas for computing architectures. Here at EETimes we are currently tracking around 60 AI chip startups in the US, Europe and Asia, from companies reinventing programmable logic and multi-core designs, to those developing their own entirely new architectures, to those using futuristic technologies such as neuromorphic (brain-inspired) architectures and and optical computing. Here is a snapshot of ten we think show promise, or at the very least, have some interesting ideas. We've got them categorized by where in the network their products are targeted: data centers, endpoints, or AIoT devices.

BrainChip Presents on AI in Edge Devices at Linley Fall Processor Conference 2020

#artificialintelligence

WIRE)--BrainChip Holdings Ltd. (ASX: BRN), a leading provider of ultra-low power high performance AI technology, today announced that Chief Development Officer Anil Mankar will present "A Neuromorphic Processor for Power Efficient Edge AI Applications" at the Linley Fall Processor Conference 2020 October 20 at 9:30 a.m. BrainChip's presentation is part of the conference's first-day session "AI in Edge Devices." As part of the presentation, Mankar will provide an update on the AKD1000, BrainChip's first Neural network SoC (NSoC), and describe the advantages of processing information in the event-domain. A 10-minute Q&A session will immediately follow the conclusion of his speech. "Many edge-AI processors take advantage of the spatial sparsity in neural network models to eliminate unnecessary computations and save power," said Mankar.

BrainChip Named Among EE Times' Silicon 100

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., August 26, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN), (OTCQX: BRCHF), a leading provider of ultra-low power high performance artificial intelligence technology, was recognized as one of the "Startups Worth Watching in 2021" in EE Times' annual Silicon 100 list of global semiconductor technologies. EE Times' 21st revision of the Silicon 100 tracks the pulse of the industry to identify emerging technology trends and developments that hold promise for the future. This year, the publication chose to analyze the Silicon 100 in more detail with 22 categories that run from materials and packaging at a fundamental extreme to quantum computing and security at the highest level of abstraction. BrainChip was recognized in the "Specialist (GPU-Through-AI) Processor, Accelerators" category. Selection of companies to the Silicon 100 is based on criteria including technology, intended market, financial position and investment profile, maturity and executive leadership.

BrainChip Simplifies Deep Learning with Launch of MetaTF

#artificialintelligence

WIRE)--BrainChip Holdings Ltd. (ASX: BRN), a leading provider of ultra-low power, high-performance AI technology, introduced MetaTF, a versatile ML framework that allows people working in the convolutional neural network space to quickly and easily move to neuromorphic computing without having to learn anything new, today at Linley Spring Conference 2021. The MetaTF development environment is an easy-to-use, complete machine learning framework for the creation, training and testing of neural networks, supporting the development of systems for Edge AI on BrainChip's Akida event domain neural processor. The MetaTF development environment leverages TensorFlow and Keras for industry-standard neural network development and training and includes the Akida Execution Engine (chip simulator), data-to-event converters, and a model zoo of pre-trained models. The framework leverages the Python scripting language and its associated tools and libraries, including Jupyter notebooks and NumPy. Deep-learning professionals do not need to learn a new framework to start using MetaTF immediately.
