'Assassin's Creed Odyssey' Sounds Like 'Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag'

Forbes - Tech

Okay, so at this point we only know three things about the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. For one thing, it's called Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. For another, it's set in Ancient Greece. And finally, it will have a spiffy little keychain to go along with it. There are some other rumors floating around it, however, notably that it will feature dialogue choices for the first time in the series history, and that it will include a level of character customization that we haven't necessarily seen before.

'Assassin's Creed Odyssey' confirmed by Ubisoft after leak

Mashable

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is real, y'all. Ubisoft officially revealed the next game in the Assassin's Creed series in a tweet Thursday after an early leak revealed its name and logo ahead of E3. Based on the logo and short clip, Assassin's Creed Odyssey appears that it will be taking place in ancient Greece. The clip is incredibly short and features one guy punting another guy off a cliff in the style of King Leonidas in the movie 300. If the Spartan helmet in the logo didn't make it clear enough that this game is set in ancient Greece, surely that kick cements it.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Odyssey teaser hints at Greek adventures

PCWorld

I thought for sure Assassin's Creed would be taking a break this year--it seemed like Ubisoft was switching to an every other year cycle, trading off with Watch Dogs. And yet here we are, a week before E3, and there's now confirmation of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. The news first came by way of a leaked "collectible helmet keychain" on the French site JeuxVideo. Ubisoft went ahead and confirmed it a few hours later though, with a brief video of one guy kicking another off a cliff, a title splash, and a "See you at E3" message. I guess if you're going to set a game in Ancient Greece, you pretty much have to copy that kick-a-guy-in-the-chest moment from 300.

First 'Assassins Creed Odyssey' Screenshots Leak Ahead Of E3

Forbes - Tech

Assassin's Creed Odyssey screenshots have leaked online prior to Ubisoft's big reveal. Screenshots for Assassin's Creed Odyssey have leaked online prior to Ubisoft's big reveal this afternoon. The game, which is set in ancient Greece, looks remarkably similar to last year's Assassins Creed Origins, which was set in ancient Egypt around 47 BC. Judging by these screenshots, this game takes place much earlier, making it a prequel to the Assassins' origin story. There's a bit of evidence for this in the screens, though we're left with questions.

There's A Huge Series Change In The Leaked Description Of 'Assassin's Creed Odyssey'

Forbes - Tech

We are going to probably be seeing E3 leaks every hour on the hour until the show is over, and the trend continues with Assassin's Creed Odyssey today. It was leaked via a promotional keychain (a keychain!) that Assassin's Creed Odyssey was Ubisoft's next game in the series last week, but today we have a fresh Odyssey leak courtesy of the PlayStation store. We already knew the game focuses on Greece and Spartans (that much was clear from the helmet on the keychain and Ubisoft's follow-up teaser), but this description is noteworthy for a couple reasons. "Take control of your destiny and write your own epic odyssey as you journey to become a legendary Spartan hero. Rejected by your family, you must embark on an adventure from outcast mercenary to legendary Spartan hero to uncover the truth about your past.
