A private parking firm has created an app that promises to pay users to report illegally parked cars. UK Car Park Management's (UK CPM) i-Ticket app, which is available for free on Google Play and the App Store, pays a £10 commission to users who upload a picture of the vehicle and its registration number. The company then uses DVLA data to send a £60 fine to the vehicle owner, a fee that rises to £100 if it isn't paid within two weeks. Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the second phase of the electric carmaker's "master plan" on Wednesday, outlining a future in which individuals use solar power to provide their own energy, automated vehicles replace heavy-duty trucks and buses, and self-driving technology that could be "10 times safer than the U.S. vehicle average" becomes pervasive. Musk's plan, drawing on projects he's backed for years, represents an ambitious, public mission statement for a man and company known to reach for the improbable. "The main reason was to explain how our actions fit into a larger picture, so that they would seem less random," Musk wrote on Tesla's blog, noting that the company's first "master plan," was posted 10 years ago. "The point of all this was, and remains, accelerating the advent of sustainable energy, so that we can imagine far into the future and life is still good," Musk wrote. Working like human muscles, the smart tire can re-shape the individual sections of the tire's tread design, adding'dimples' for wet conditions (left) or smoothing the tread for dry conditions (right) Made of super-elastic polymer, the tire's bionic skin has a flexibility similar to that of human skin, allowing it to expand and contract. This outer layer covers a foam-like material that is strong enough to remain flexible despite the weight of a vehicle.

This is the kind of strategic tie-up that lets both partners do what they do best – Nvidia can focus on developing the core AI supercomputing tech, and Bosch can provide relationships and sales operations that offer true scale and reach. Nvidia's deep learning model does not depend on specific rules being coded for each individual situation; instead, it provides the systems with a number of examples from human behavior, and then the AI can determine on its own what to do in specific scenarios.
