AAAI Conferences

This volume contains the papers accepted for presentation at ICAPS 2011, the Twenty-First International Conferenceon Automated Planning and Scheduling, held in Freiburg, Germany, on June 11–16, 2011. The annual ICAPS conference series was established in 2003 through the merger of two pre-existing biennial conferences, the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Planning and Scheduling (AIPS) and the European Conference on Planning (ECP). ICAPS continues the traditional high standards of AIPS and ECP as an archival forum for new research in the rapidly developing field of automated planning andscheduling. This volume contains the papers accepted at the conference.

AAAI Conferences

International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling, held in Toronto, Ontario, For ICAPS 2010, we received 113 submissions Canada, May 12-16, 2010. The annual ICAPS from authors of 31 countries, representing all conference series was established in 2003 continents. From these submissions, 79 were through the merger of two preexisting biennial full papers, 29 were short ones, and 5 were position conferences, the International Conference on or challenge papers. These papers were all Artificial Intelligence Planning and Scheduling reviewed by a Program Committee made up of (AIPS) and the European Conference on Planning 76 members, coordinated by 10 Senior Members, (ECP). ICAPS continues the traditional and the four PC Chairs.

ICAPS continues Nguyen, Vien Tran, Tran Cao Son and Enrico the traditional high standards of AIPS and ECP Pontelli were selected for Best Student Paper as an archival forum for new research in the Award. In addition to the oral presentation of these e 45 papers included in this volume, consisting papers, the technical program of this year's of 37 long papers and 8 short papers, are ICAPS conference includes invited talks by those selected for plenary presentation at three distinguished speakers: Robert O. Ambrose ICAPS 2012 from a total of 132 submissions. Topics under various constraints and assumptions, included real-time planning, planning in mixed to empirical evaluation of planning and discrete-continuous domains, planning for systems scheduling techniques in practical applications. Papers in the subareas of optimal planning, probabilistic were encouraged from a range of neighboring and non-deterministic planning, planning disciplines, including model-based and scheduling for transportation, robot path reasoning, hybrid systems, run-time verification, planning, and new developments in heuristics control and robotics.

The Fourteenth International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS-04) was held in Canada in June of 2004. It covered the latest theoretical and empirical advances in planning and scheduling. The conference program consisted of tutorials, workshops, a doctoral consortium, and three days of technical paper presentations in a single plenary track, one day of which was jointly organized with the Ninth International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. ICAPS-04 also hosted the International Planning Competition, including a classical track and a newly formed probabilistic track. This report describes the conference in more detail.
