Every year, TIME highlights the Best Inventions that are making the world better, smarter and even a bit more fun. To assemble our 2019 list, we solicited nominations across a variety of categories from our editors and correspondents around the world, as well as through an online application process. Then TIME evaluated each contender based on key factors, including originality, creativity, influence, ambition and effectiveness. The result: 100 groundbreaking inventions that are changing the way we live, work, play and think about what's possible.
Robot inventions will continue to rapidly increase. It seems everyday there is a new robot that is going to replace what humans can do. Robots come in all shapes and sizes which can be seen in the video below. Some great robot inventions include those that help the disabled. This quote sums it up well: "For people with a disability, the Fourth Industrial Revolution will give us super powers."

The company would do all of the leg work -- finding a manufacturer, marketing, the works -- and Maginnis would get 3 percent of the royalties.
