Apple MacBook Pro completely redesigned to include new display in its keyboard

The Independent - Tech

Apple has revealed its completely redesigned MacBook Pro, the computer that it hopes can put an end to worries that about its future. The company unveiled the laptop as part of an event at its California headquarters. It also showed off a new TV app – but didn't update any of its desktop computers, as many had hoped, and showed off no new categories of products. The new computer is thinner, lighter and differently shaped from the old MacBook Pro. But the main change is the new screen that's built into the keyboard.

Apple AirPods release date delayed because wireless earphones aren't 'ready', company says

The Independent - Tech

The future isn't ready to arrive just yet. Apple has announced that its AirPods – the wireless earphones that the company were set to release this month – aren't "ready". The AirPods were first unveiled along with the iPhone 7 at an event last month. And the two were part of the same pitch – just as Apple had done with dropping the headphone jack, the AirPods were meant to signal that the company was ready for the wireless future. The AirPods built from the ground up for Apple's new vision of listening.

Buried within the files of the updated operating system are a set of photos that appear to be intended to serve as part of the guide of using the computer. Scavengers have already found their way into those resource files and found information about the new computer.

The app sounds like a piece of fun, and Apple describes it as intended to make it "quick and fun for anyone to create expressive videos on iPhone and iPad". It does that by combining photos and videos into video clips, and letting people share them on Facebook, Instagram or any other social network. But the major feature is what it calls "Live Titles", which are described as "a breakthrough feature that lets users create animated captions and titles using just their voice". The company will hold its fairly regular spring event this year and use it to introduce updates to the iPad Pro as well as new models of the iPhone, according to reports. Apple has held a March event most years, focusing on new products outside of its iPhone line, with a particlar focus on the iPad. The spring event is one of three major keynotes that it hosts, which also include June's WWDC developer event and one in September where Apple introduces major revisions to the iPhones.
