After pilot programs in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago were "overwhelmingly positive," per Instacart CEO Apoorva Mehta's statement, the grocery delivery service has decided to expand its partnership with U.S. grocer ALDI. As of Thanksgiving, Instacart users in 35 states and 5,000 ZIP codes will be able to fill their virtual carts with ALDI groceries. ALDI is in the process of completing a $5 billion remodel, with plans to expand its store count to 2,500 in the next four years. The grocer initially entered into an agreement with Instacart last fall. Since raising another $150 million in April, Instacart has doubled down on expansion efforts.
PARIS – Toyota Motor Corp. has reached a technology partnership agreement with Microsoft Corp. for the 2017 World Rally Championship series, its president said Thursday. Under the accord, Microsoft will assist the Toyota Gazoo racing team in developing a data analysis platform, creating a team information-sharing system and enhancing interaction with fans. "I believe that, like Toyota, Microsoft aims to enrich society in meaningful ways," Toyota President Akio Toyoda told reporters at the Paris Motor Show. "Based on the ongoing partnership, we aim to further develop our people and enhance our cars through the use of IT in motorsports to promote'ever-better cars,'" he said. Toyota said in January 2015 that it would return to the WRC in 2017, participating in the prestigious series for the first time in 18 years.
The phonemaker and the British auto manufacturer have ended their partnership, a McLaren spokesperson has confirmed to Android Authority after reports about their split came out. Word started going around that the two were parting ways, because OnePlus is no longer listed as a Formula 1 partner on McLaren's website. "Our partnership with OnePlus, which came to its scheduled conclusion recently, has been a highly successful collaboration between two iconic and innovative brands. Since the start of this partnership in 2018, OnePlus has been a supportive, valued partner and we wish them well and hope to see them in the future." The rep didn't explain why the two companies are no longer working together, but it sounds like they decided not to renew their deal after their collaboration ended.
"Understand, we're in the initial stages," Fischer said. "Some people might still dream we can come back quickly as a four-year college like it was before. Of course, they're going to be disappointed. What we need to work on, and the challenge for us, is to win over our alumni base, so that they can get on board with this."
