The board of Trump Tower Condominium -- through Trump Organization lawyer Sonja Talesnik -- filed the suit in Manhattan Supreme Court late Tuesday against the estate of 67-year-old Todd Brassner seeking the common charges and fees. The New York Post reports Brassner's heirs, Todd and Heather Brassner, did not return calls seeking comment.
Eric Trump has always had the benefit of a silver spoon -- or perhaps it was a luxurious, very classy, golden spoon -- lodged firmly in his mouth. He's the son of Republican nominee Donald Trump, who will tell you all about his great wealth, even if many believe he's overstating it a bit (what's 5 to 7 billion among friends, after all). But while Eric Trump has had his family's wealth at his disposal, as well as a cushy position awaiting him at the Trump Organization, the Trump-offspring said last Friday that his father had no such luck. "He's been an entrepreneurial guy," Eric Trump said Friday on Fox News' 'Outnumbered.' "He's built an amazing company.
It was a last hurrah for Donald Trump fans in his home state of New York. Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, will release her second book next year, the Associated Press reports. The book is titled "Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules of Success" and sounds not unlike an Ivanka Trump version of Sheryl Sandberg's bestselling book "Lean In." Trump explained the genesis of her new book in a message on her website. "Our site is home to inspiring thought leaders, smart content and solution-oriented tips curated for women who work," she wrote. "Your overwhelming support and feedback has helped shaped the #WomenWhoWork dialogue into what it's become -- a movement that's inspiring and empowering women to create the lives they want to live." The book will be published by Portfolio, an imprint of the Penguin Group that specializes in business titles.
Federal prosecutors in New York are investigating Cohen for possible bank and tax fraud, and for possible campaign law violations linked to a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, a person familiar with the investigation has told Reuters. The payment to Daniels, who says she had an intimate relationship with Trump, was meant to buy her silence over the affair.
