Robotics Engineering Recruiting Efforts Increasing Rapidly - Strategic Search

Robotics applications and jobs recruiting are multiplying exponentially as artificial intelligence (AI) breakthroughs accelerate robot improvement. This was discussed during my recent appearance on WGN Radio. The global average for industrial robots per 10,000 manufacturing workers grew from 66 in 2015 to 85 in 2017. This is according to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR). Robotics improvements, such as advanced machine vision and sensors as well as artificial intelligence (AI) breakthoughs have rapidly increased robot breakthroughs.

Meet the Most Nimble-Fingered Robot Yet

MIT Technology Review

Inside a brightly decorated lab at the University of California, Berkeley, an ordinary-looking robot has developed an exceptional knack for picking up awkward and unusual objects. What's stunning, though, is that the robot got so good at grasping by working with virtual objects. The robot learned what kind of grip should work for different items by studying a vast data set of 3-D shapes and suitable grasps. The UC Berkeley researchers fed images to a large deep-learning neural network connected to an off-the-shelf 3-D sensor and a standard robot arm. When a new object is placed in front of it, the robot's deep-learning system quickly figures out what grasp the arm should use.

Why Robotics is Changing the World

Robotics is the field of engineering that is focused on developing machines – usually by combining knowledge from both the field of mechanics and electronics – that are able to either fully or partly take over tasks that would normally be carried out by humans. As technology advanced, components such as processors, electric motors and different kind of sensors have become increasingly more compact and precise, stimulating the use of robotics in other fields than only that of manufacturing. Robotics, fueled by artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way we work and interact with technology. Technological advances have drastically changed the capabilities of modern robotics, allowing them to be operational and effective in a wide range of industries. New technologies – such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced computer vision – form the basis of the further development of robotics, allowing them to be used in processes which were, up until today, deemed to only be executable by humans.

Robotics Q&A with Mauro Fenzi, CEO of Comau

Science and technology are essential tools for innovation. In the next few years, the impact of Digital Transformation will accelerate. Internet of Things (IoT aka M2M, IIOT, IoE – though each has its specific focus) is considered the most important trend in digitization. From connected homes, cars, cities to entire industries such as healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, public sector and utilities – connected and increasingly intelligent devices are transforming entire ecosystems, and one of the components are robots. Today, in our first Robotics Q&A, Mauro Fenzi, the CEO of Comau, discusses about different types of robots that already have a huge impact on manufacturing and other industries.

Robotics Automation Journals Peer Reviewed

Robotics and Automation deals with manufacture and applications of robots and computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information technology to reduce the need for human work. The journal provides an Open Access platform to publish the latest contributions in the field of robotics, automation technologies, robotic surgery, intelligent robotics, mechatronics, and biomimetics novel and biologically-inspired robotics, modelling, identification and control of robotic systems, biomedical, rehabilitation and surgical robotics, exoskeletons, prosthetics and artificial organs, AI, neural networks and fuzzy logic in robotics etc. This top best scholarly journal is using Editorial Manager System for online manuscript submission, review and tracking. Editorial board members of the Robotics & Automation or outside experts review manuscripts; at least two independent reviewer's approval followed by the editor is required for the acceptance of any citable manuscript. The journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing.
