There's now more reason to believe a previous leak claiming that Apple's iPhone 8 will be debuting with a new color option. Apparently, someone from Foxconn may have outed the official name of the new color variant, and it's not the same as what earlier reports claimed it to be. Over the weekend, mobile reporter Benjamin Geskin took to Twitter to share what he found out from a Foxconn insider about the upcoming Galaxy S8/Note 8 rival. In his tweet, he stated that the third color option for the iPhone 8 is known internally at Foxconn as "Blush Gold." Geskin included renders to show everyone how the new variant looks like.
Is Apple really launching a Red color variant for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones? The Cupertino giant is still mum about this, but previous statements made by tech insiders and analysts point to the possibility of welcoming a new color option starting this month. And the proof that this could be real may have just surfaced this week. On Tuesday, MacRumors spotted what seems to be Apple's teaser for the Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The Apple-centric news site found the alleged teaser on Chinese phone dealer Taobao's website.
Samsung Electronics is expanding its Galaxy S9 series. The South Korea giant has introduced not just one, but two new color options for the S9 and the S9 flagship smartphones. The biggest rival of Apple in the smartphone industry introduced Wednesday via its online newsroom the Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red editions of the Galaxy S9 and S9 handsets. The new color options are joining the four models that are already available worldwide, namely, Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple. In its press release, Samsung stated that the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 and S9 are hitting the South Korean and Chinese markets in May.
When the OnePlus 6T launched earlier this month, buyers had two options when it came to color -- a matte black and a glossy black. But soon, customers in North America and Europe will be able to snag a purple variant of the phone. The Thunder Purple option will be available through OnePlus' online store starting November 15th. A soft gradual fade from luminescent purple to black sets #OnePlus6T Thunder Purple apart. Power and elegance, get the best of both.
It seems Apple could be launching the highly anticipated gold color variant of the iPhone X soon. An FCC filing made by the Cupertino giant strongly hints at an iPhone X with a gold back similar to the gold variants of the iPhone 8 and 8 plus. MacRumors recently stumbled upon documents that Apple filed with the United States Federal Communications Commission, containing information on a gold iPhone X handset. The documents, per the news outlet, were originally filed in September of 2017 and they present details and photos of a gold iPhone X. Based on the leaked images of the possible third color option of the iPhone X, the shade of gold it has is very similar to the one found on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
