Jenny McCarthy is kicking off the summer season with a whole new look. The 43-year-old radio show host, who's typically a blonde, has opted for a darker'do. "Loving the rich chocolate with blonde highlights," she captioned a selfie on Wednesday. Julius Michael, the hairstylist behind McCarthy's new look, revealed to ET how this change came about. "I suggested she does something different and go darker and from that point we ran with it.
The team opens the second half at the site of the All-Star game. In his last two outings, McCarthy has dealt with a loss of command, causing him to spray wild pitches into the batter's box. McCarthy views this as a result of mechanical glitches, something he could correct in his outing last week against Kansas City. McCarthy has a 3.12 earned-run average this season and would figure to be a useful fourth starter in the playoffs. But concern about his control could cause the team to look to the trade market for other options.
Rudolph: I always say yes to them. Ben, Melissa and I have been friends for over 20 years, and this is the way we started together, doing improv and sketch together. Being able to come and play with your friends that you love so much, it's a true luxury. There's plenty of jobs that you could be doing that feel like jobs, but this is a total life bonus. And we all know each other, so when someone knows you and you know them, it's the most fun to set each other up.
McCarthy was a true "progressive" in that he appreciated the rapid and dramatic improvements in human living standards brought about by innovation. It was from McCarthy's website that I first learned of Thomas Babington Macaulay's remarks, in the Edinburgh Review, that I often quote -- "We cannot absolutely prove that those are in error who tell us that society has reached a turning point, that we have seen our best days. But so said all before us, and with just as much apparent reason ... On what principle is it that, when we see nothing but improvement behind us, we are to expect nothing but deterioration before us".
